ABOUT THE HOUSE
Registered as a Sonoma County Historic Landmark, this home offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the spirit of yesteryear while enjoying present-day high-end amenities.
Be prepared to be impressed as you step up onto the front porch and into the foyer.
The welcoming living area has comfortable couches with seating for nine around a wooden coffee table. Seamlessly paired with the historic elements are modern conveniences, including a 52” flat screen Sony TV with AppleTV and Roku. For old-fashioned family fun, explore the large glass cabinet for its trove of board games.
In the hallway you’ll find a large bookshelf stocked with classic and contemporary authors for your reading pleasure.
The open kitchen includes an office nook, an island bar with casual seating, and lots of space for the chef in your group to prepare tasty meals. High-end stainless steel appliances include a double fridge, dishwasher, and a gas range. The well-equipped space has everything you need, including a full stock of crockery and silverware. There’s even a separate wine fridge to hold purchases from your wine tasting excursions.
Gather for meals in the cozy dining room, with a piano and oval table with four chairs. Or head out to the balcony where there’s a grill for al fresco soirees. Enjoy a lounge area and outdoor dining set for six. After dinner, indulge in a game of bocce ball.
The master bedroom holds a king bed in an iron frame that looks toward a 42” Pioneer TV and Nintendo Wii. This room has an en-suite bath with walk-in shower and granite vanity.
A second guest room has a plush queen bed, chandelier, and generous closet space. In the third bedroom, matching twin beds with iron frames stand side-by-side; painterly linens and an armchair complete the inviting space.
Relax in the guest bathroom, where you can soak in a vintage claw foot tub with a glass of wine.
(Note: The 2nd story portion of the home is a separate dwelling for long term renters.)
This house provides quintessential historic charm while you explore Wine Country - which includes 30 vineyards within 5 miles of Windsor.
Plan your trip around one of the region’s special events. In April, check out the Dry Creek Valley celebration - Sonoma Wine Country’s premier wine and food festival. Or, in June, attend the Sonoma Hot Air Balloon Classic, in Keiser Park (just one minute from the house).
Located just off Windsor Town Green, there are myriad eateries and shops within an easy 5-minute stroll. The cuisine scene includes Jaded Toad BBQ & Grill, and Chinois Asian Bistro, a buzz-worthy favorite serving Pacific Rim dishes. For craft brews, head to nearby Old Redwood Brewing Company.
There are also movie nights and concerts during summer, and a weekly farmer’s market to explore.
Beautiful multi-use trails are available for hikers and bikers at nearby Shiloh Ranch Regional Park, 3.5 miles away.
