Classic, Cape Cod beach house located on the point at Mondos at Faria Beach.This contemporary but classic style oceanfront family home is conveniently located at the north end of Mondos cove. Huge deck with shade, sun and private stairs to the beach.
As you enter the home, the living and entry area is light and airy and ideal for informal lounging. It opens up to the outdoor space via french doors onto a large shaded porch. Off this entry room is a formal living area (formerly the piano room) with TV and fireplace. An informal dining room is adjacent to the kitchen which has direct ocean views. There are three bedrooms downstairs and one full bath. The living areas are all about family; simple and functional.
You enter the master from its own private stairs off the first floor living area. The Master Suite is massive with its own walk in shower, walk in closet and jacuzzi. This room has a little bonus room off of it with a twin bed. It also has its own private deck overlooking the coast.
Cape Cod is designed around one of the largest oceanfront outdoor living areas on the Coast. The shaded patio overlooks a landscaped yard on the ocean; plenty of space to lounge, barbeque, or just sit and relax. There is also a jacuzzi on the deck to take a load off after your afternoon surf and swim!
Paddle, fish or play right in the surf right just out front. Enjoy some of the most amazing sunrise and sunset vantage points. Your private stairs drop right onto a sandy point that is known as Mondos. Some of the best waves to longboard, learn to surf, or experience stand-up surfing. One of the greatest enjoyments is to just take long walks on the beach or enjoy the adjacent tide pools.
Faria Beach in Ventura is a marine sanctuary with exposed tide pools, sand beaches, and some of the best marine environments along the California coast. The area is perfect for surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, boogie boarding or just to enjoy long walks on the beach, hunting for shells, rocks and sea glass. While this beach is known for dolphins feeding and riding waves on a daily bases, whales can even be spotted during their migration. The sunrises and sunsets are exceptional and the Channel Islands are visible offshore. With just steps to the sand, you will be able to explore one of California’s most unique and beautiful beaches.
Ventura is only 10 minutes to the South; Santa Barbara and Ojai are 35 minutes away; Carpinteria is 15 minutes away. There are three harbors and fishing as close as fifteen minutes. Most of these homes are ideal for any ocean activity and are also next to a coastal bikeway that extends from Ventura to Santa Barbara.

Ventura Botanical Gardens: A fun little hike located at Grant Park, in the foothills above downtown Ventura behind the City Hall. Easy to moderate.
Hike Ojai: Ventura River Preserve Trail, Piedra Blanca are easy to moderate. Sulphur Mountain, Cozy Dell and Horn Canyon Trail are moderate. Gridley and Pratt Trail are hard.
Downtown Ventura Main Street: Cruise our historical Downtown Ventura for some fun thrift shops, antique stores, boutiques and eclectic shops. The Ventura Pier is 2 blocks towards the ocean on California Street.
