Venice is full of great restaurants, shops, and the beach, of course. There are so many great places to eat that it would be hard to recommend any one. There are seven or eight restaurants, and three coffee shops within half a mile of the house. Cafe Gratitude has very good vegan food.
Also not to be missed is the Venice Boardwalk. It has some of the best, most interesting people watching anywhere!
Santa Monica Pier is only 2 miles away, and is easy to get to on a bike. There are also many buses that go up Lincoln Blvd, to Santa Monica.
