Converted from an 18th-century detached barn, this romantic studio style accommodation is a perfect getaway for couples wanting to explore the spectacular North Pennine countryside. Set in a traditional Weardale village and beside the owner’s home, Cromer House Barn has its own private patio for enjoying the tranquillity of this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The property is in an ideal location for walking, cycling and sightseeing, while Kilhope Lead Mining Museum, Bowes Museum and Hamsterley Forest are all nearby. The historic city of Durham, Beamish Museum, Hadrian’s Wall and the Eden Valley are all under an hour’s drive. Shop and pub serving food within 300 yards.


Ground floor: Dining area/kitchen. Wet room with toilet. Mezzanine: Living room/bedroom area with double bed.


Woodburner in living room included. Solid fuel central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freesat TV. DVD. CD. Microwave. Washing machine in outbuilding. Fridge/freezer. Patio and furniture. Parking. Cycle store. No smoking.

Holidaymakers are requested to arrive after 4pm on the day of arrival, and to vacate before 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged with the owner.
From South: Travel on the A1 nouth leaving at Junction 58 (follow the brown signs for Weardale) onto the A68 for Corbridge. Go through West Auckland, Toft Hill and Fir Tree, then at the roundabout head west onto A689 for Alston. As you enter Frosterley village you are travelling on Front Street and the barn is on your left, behind number 48, Cromer House.
From North: Travel south on the A1 leaving at the exit for the A69 to Corbridge. Before Corbridge take the exit for A68 south for Darlington. Go through Castleside, then turn right on B6296 to Wolsingham. In Wolsingham turn right and west on the A689 to Frosterley. As you enter Frosterley village you are travelling on Front Street and the barn is on your left, behind number 48, Cromer House.
