8 bedroom Norfolk retreat. Sea views and beach 100 yards away. Celebrate in style by the beach; this is a perfect holiday venue for larger families and groups. Standing on the cliff-top in the seaside town of Mundesley, with the sandy beach just 100 yards away. Commanding views of the sea from the forward-facing upstairs rooms, this is a very spacious, detached, family home with its own large, wrap-around, lawned gardens, enclosed at the rear making it ideal for smaller children and pets.
The house boasts a large dining room, perfect for that dinner celebration, a choice of two living rooms and a conservatory equipped with a football table and pool table for friendly fun and games. There is high speed broadband, Wifi and a Smart TV and parking for up to 10 cars. We also have a beach hut available for rent seasonally which is ideal for storing buckets and spades during your stay.
A short walk away is the centre of Mundesley, a charming Victorian seaside village with shops, butchers, post office, cafés/restaurants, pubs, golf course and the wide sandy beach. Further along the coastline are the traditional seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham, both with excellent sandy beaches, town centres and cliff-top golf courses. Cromer has a pier with a theatre hosting regular concerts and visiting performers, an RNLI lifeboat station and museum, and hosts Carnival week (normally held during the third week of August) and fireworks over the water on New Year’s Day (weather permitting). Sheringham is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash aqua pool, National Trust Sheringham Gardens, is host to the 1940’s weekend celebrations held during September, and has regular market days.
A 30-minute drive away is the famous Norfolk Broads, best explored by water with daily boat hire and river trips available, and there are plenty of riverside restaurants, cafés and shops. Enjoy a day exploring the city of Norwich for excellent shopping, two indoor malls, a market square, cinema complexes, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, bowling and plenty of cafés, pubs and restaurants. This lovely area provides so much to see, with excellent coastal walks direct from door, circular paths and trails, great cycling opportunities to explore this beautiful coastline, many pretty villages with award-winning eateries, RSPB bird reserves and sanctuaries, seal-watching trips and steam train rides. Beach 100 yards (beach hut available on request). Shop 400 yards and pub 200 yards. Please note that the property will be unavailable Jan-June 2020 as we are undergoing a refurb adding more showers, toilets and creating a large kitchen/diner area downstairs. We will also be adding a jacuzzi.
