Pencarrick overlooks Pill Creek, in the beautiful and peaceful village of Feock, just four miles from Cornwall’s City, Truro.
The local beach, Loe Beach, is a 5 minute stroll and is on the Fal Estuary, renowned as some of the best sailing waters in Cornwall. The sheltered tidal creeks are fantastic for kayaking too. Loe Beach offers a sailing school, kayak and paddle board hire and a popular café.
One mile In the opposite direction are the wonderful National Trust Gardens at Trelissick which offer both more formal gardens and woodland walks.
The King Harry Ferry is a car and passenger ferry that gives easy access to the Roseland peninsula with its wonderful sandy beaches such as Carne and Pendower and the seaside villages of St Mawes and Porthscatho. If you time the ferry right you can be on a beautiful sandy beach in 30 minutes.
The North coast is approximately a 25 minute drive offering opportunity for surfing. The closest beaches are St Agnes, Perranporth and Porthtowan.
The bustling maritime port of Falmouth is 10 miles away and has Pendennis Castle and great shops and restaurants. The closest sandy beaches Gyllyngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth are in Falmouth.
Feock itself is home to a beautiful church with a separate bell tower and was a holiday destination and provided some inspiration for the St Ives painter Ben Nicolson in the 1920’s.
Located in Pill Creek is “Creek Vean” a listed 1966 built property that was the first ever house to win a RIBA (Architects) Award for the renowned Richard Rogers.
