Situated in the beautiful picturesque dale of Little Fryup within the North York Moors National Park visitors can enjoy walks to suit all abilities from the doorstep. The garden and patio provide ample opportunity to relax amidst the peace and tranquillity.
The picturesque villages of Lealholm, Castleton and Danby have excellent pubs, bakers and everyday shopping and the Moors centre at Danby will provide all the information you need for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast. The ancient port of Whitby is a 20 minute drive with picturesque bays along the Heritage Coast waiting to be discovered. Pickering, home to the Steam Preservation Railway is nearby, whilst Castle Howard and the city of York are within easy driving distance.

Holidaymakers are requested to arrive after 3.30pm on the day of arrival and to vacate the property by 10.00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged with the owner. Directions: From the South: A1 (M), A64 (York/Malton, A169 to Pickering. Travel on the A170 west from Pickering heading for Helmsley. Drive through the village of Aislaby. Just after the village take the right turn signposted Wrelton/Cropton. Go through Wrelton and follow signs for Cropton, keep on the road through the village of Cropton and continue straight on through Rosedale Abbey village (leaving the Milburn Arms on your right) continue straight on following the road up the hill and over the cattle grid onto the moor. After approximately 2 miles take the right turn signposted Fryup (also signed unsuitable for vehicles). Cross the moor and into Little Fryup Dale and at the T junction turn right, pass over the cattle grid, the road then passes between 2 cottages, after approximately 100 yards you will come to Stonebeck Gate Farm on the left and the access to Forresters Lodge passes through the farmstead.
From the North: A19 - A174 to Recar - A171 Guisborough - A171 to Whitby - Take the first right signed to Danby after the jolly Sailor Inn - in Danby at Duke of Wellington Pub turn left signed to the Moorscentre - Follow road past Moorscentre, pas under the railway, turn right soon after across a ford and turn left at T junction - At T junction turn left passing Danby Castle Farm on your left. After about 2 miles and at head of valley (Little Fryup dale) follow road round to the left and cross cattle grid, the road passes between 2 cottages, after approx 100 yards you will come to Stonebeck Gate Farm on the left and the access to Forresters Lodge passes through the farmstead.
