Stunning detached cottage 50 feet from the beach

Located in: Mundesley
A stunning cosy cottage with private acces to beautiful sandy beach a mere stones through away. This cottage is the perfect retreat both in season and out of season to explore the many delights the North Norfolk Coast has to offer. Set in the heart of this traditional Flint cottage lined village with fantastic sea views, many shops, cafes and wonderful pubs/resteraunt all within walking distance.
Traditional bright coloured beach huts adourn the coastal paths set against this award winning blue flag beach.

The accommodation offers 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 adults or a family. The cottage's main entrance opens in to a very welcoming hall with a small cloakroom downstairs toilet / hand basin and a coat/boot cupboard for all your outside attire. The lounge is a very good size with large windows and patio doors that open on to a lovely little lawned and patio garden with outside seating for alfresco dining. There is a 43 inch flat screen TV, DVD player, Radio/CD's micro system, selection of DVD's / CD's and games for your enjoyment. there is a separate dining room with patio doors that also open on to the private enclosed garden. There is an arch leading from the dining room in to the very well equipped kitchen, with cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and toaster for your convenience.

Moving upstairs there is a master bedroom with a king size bed and beautiful sea views from the dual aspect Windows in this room, there is also a small TV in this room not that it will be needed with the stunning views, this leads in to a very large dressing room with plenty of hanging and cupboard space and then in to an en-suite shower room. There is also a double bedroom with a very comfy double leather bed in and plenty of drawer space. There is then a twin room with matching single beds and again stunning sea views from this window with hanging space and drawer space in abundance. The other two bedrooms are served by a very generous sized family bathroom with a 3 piece suite. 2 hair dryers are supplied again for your convenience.

Moving outside there is parking for two vehicles on the brick drive in front of the garage and should the need arise another car can be accommodated in the attached single garage. The house is located within a private drive which also offers access to the beach down a private slipway only used by the five houses within this private estate, so no passing traffic other than residents of the other houses.

For the energetic why not bring along your bycycles which can be stored in the garage for the many miles of country lanes in Mundesley or the less energetic there are plenty of coastal paths for a gentle stroll or just to enjoy the stunning views.

MUNDESLEY - The East Norfolk Coast holiday village of Mundesley grew rapidly when the Victorians brought visitors to the district by opening a railway in 1889. They came to Mundesley to sample the finest air in the country. The railway has long gone, but the fresh sea breezes off the North Sea remain as invigorating as ever. Mundesley today is a family holiday resort with a wonderful sandy beach, considered one of the best in Norfolk, with safe swimming for youngsters when the tide is out. The village contains a number of facilities including a small number of shops, eating places, pubs, tea rooms and possibly the smallest Maritime Museum in the country. Mundesley church sits perched overlooking the sea and the coast path is great for walks. Nearby Stow Mills is one of the best windmills in Norfolk and well worth a visit. The nearest general store is within quarter of a mile of the cottage and is opened until 10pm daily, if you want to walk further afield about a mile away there is a Tesco Express, there is also a petrol filling station and a mini bank here. the ship Inn which is about 200 yards from the property does excellent food but booking may be necessary as this is a very popular location, they also serve tea/ coffees during the day and have a play area out back for the children and again the stunning sea views.

CROMER - approx 7 miles from Mundesley, known as the Gem of the Norfolk Coast with its traditional pier with lifeboat station and Pavillion theatre, which still stage end of pier shows. The streets and alleys are crammed with shops, pubs, resteraunts and cafes and although the fishing industry has declined over the years , Cromer Crabs are still as famous as ever and really should be sampled. On the outskirts of Cromer there is also the Amazona Zoo a South American themed zoo, a 10 acre site full of animals such as Jaguar, Monkeys and Flamingo.

HOLT - approx 18 miles from Mundesley, a traditional market town with the majority of the 200 shops and business services in Holt being independently owned and the sense of pride within this close knit community is a constant attraction to visitors. The town centre is beautifully compact and contains some fine Georgian Buildings.

SHERINGHAM - approx 12 miles from Mundesley, an English seaside town, the Moto of the town granted in 1953 to the Sheringham Urban District Council, is Mare Ditat Pinusque Decorat, Latin for " The Sea enriches and the pine adorns". Sheringham is also home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway ( The Poppy Line) which operates steam train rides to Holt. Sheringham also holds a very popular twice weekly market on Wednesday's and Saturday's.

GREAT YARMOUTH - approx 27 miles from Mundesley, famous as a family holiday destination bursting with fun things to do, activities for all, shows and attractions stretching along the fabled Golden Mile and the huge expanse of pristine beach.

NORWICH - approx 20 miles from Mundesley, head inland to what is considered to be the capital of East Anglia. Norwich City Centre has streets that still carry a lot of their medieval charm, including some remains of the ancient city walls and a wealth of historic buildings. The Norman Cathedral is one of the finest in England with its magnificent cloisters and cathedral close. The majestic castle with its 12th century keep is prominently situated overlooking the city. The city has two shopping malls and there is a wonderful Riverside walk and Chapelfield Gardens. Norwich also boasts the largest permanent open air market in England, easy to explore on foot.

NORFOLK BROADS- approx 15 miles from Mundesley, Norfolk is probably most famous for the man-made Broads, a National Park with over 125 miles of navigable lock-free waterways set in beautiful countryside and studded with charming and picturesque towns and villages.

HORSEY BEACH- approx 17 miles from Mundesley, there are a number of trips around Norfolk that can be taken to see the Grey Seal colonies, my favourite during the months of November and February has to be Horsey Beach, where a coloney of Grey Seals come on to the beach to breed. The Horsey Coloney is one of the few accessible mainland grey seal breeding sites in the UK. Making it one of the best sites in the world to see the seal pups. This attraction is totally free apart from parking charges and off course the obligatory cup of tea we all have to have on outings. Once parked there is about a 2km walk across level fields to reach the beach, well worth a visit.
