floors with a well equipped kitchen, separate dining room and cosy
living room with pale grey sofas. Upstairs there are two double
bedrooms on the first floor and a twin room on the top floor. The
cottage has a terraced garden (just across the lane) with fabulous
views over the harbour - a great place to relax with a beer as the sun
Just 6 miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its
own dramatic castle, often referred to as 'The Windsor of the North',
ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for
Harry Potter's Hogwarts Academy!). Alnwick Garden - a spectacular
contemporary interpretation of a formal garden and includes the Grand
Cascade waterfall, a Poison Garden and the largest treehouse in Europe!
