They have all been renovated in 2019 and are finished to a very good standard, and they all enjoy shared outdoor access to 10 acres of surrounding woodland which includes two 3-acre fishing lakes containing carp up to 34lb! There is also a laundry room, a small gym and an entertainment room full of games.
The famous Lancashire Parachute Centre, The Black Knights, is also on site of Patty’s Barn, whether you use this as a base to take your sky diving licence, or just simply enjoy your outdoor barbecue and seating area whilst watching the planes and parachute jumpers - there is plenty to offer on the complex.
There is a multitude of places to explore outside of Patty’s Barn in the surrounding areas, including the Trough of Bowland, Garstang, Lancaster, Blackpool and the South Lake District, all within easy driving distance. The popular market town of Garstang offers a variety of boutique shops, cafés and pubs, as well as a weekly market every Thursday. About 2½ miles down the road is a popular ice cream parlour so be sure not to miss out on their incredible homemade ice cream flavours! People drive from all over the county to come and taste them!
The coast of Cockerham is within walking distance, and the historic city of Lancaster is just 7 miles down the road, which boasts a wealth of family-owned restaurants, shops and pubs. If you fancy adding in a bit of history and culture to your trip, head up to the castle for stories of the famous Pendle Witches. Just a short drive away is the Trough of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with plenty of scenic walks and cycling routes to enjoy. Alternatively, if you like sunsets, views and walks, look no further than your back yard which offers wonderful routes to the coast. From the sands in the distance you will see the Fylde Coast, home to the popular seaside resort of Blackpool, 17 miles away, famous for its tower, Pleasure Beach and the annual illuminations. The South Lake District can also be reached in just over 30 minutes. Beach 1 mile. Shop 6¾ miles, pub 1¾ miles and restaurant 2¾ miles.
