BLODEUEN - in the poetic Welsh language, a word that means something between 'flower' and 'flourish'. You can read the story of Blodeuwedd in the Mabinogion!
Three bedroom bungalow with bright sunny aspect overlooking a river valley. Large lounge and sun room with squidgy sofas. Pine flooring throughout and radiant colours gives this home from home a fresh Scandinavian feel.
When we decided to open Blodeuen as a holiday home, we made careful consideration to what we would like, and came up with an airy open-ness that maximises light and colour, with cosy comfort to relax in.
We ourselves are very creative, and have imbued the home with colour that is creatively inspiring and stimulating whilst deeply restful to combat the mundane stresses of ordinary life. If you just want an energising rural Welsh holiday, or a creative or meditational retreat, you will love its simplicity.
The garden out front is for your use only, and quite private. It is well-stocked with roses, flowers and shrubs, with plenty of room for adults and kids to play. The garden room and rear decking looks out over the Clettwr Valley, with its often spectacular sunsets – perfect to watch red kites and buzzards, whilst enjoying an evening drink.
There is sufficient off-road parking for 3 or 4 cars.
Walk in shower / wet room.
Open plan kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, blender etc.

The property is in a small rural village, there is a small convenience shop half a mile away and a couple of pubs within two miles. The nearest village, Llandysul is four miles and has a supermarket and several pubs and takeaways. This home is midway between Newcastle Emlyn and Lampeter on the A475.
Our ethos is to reuse and recycle, we have recycling and composting facilities to reduce our waste, there are bird feeders in the garden and beehives in the field behind the property, we try to live with nature as much as possible and have planted many trees in the field. We ask you to respect our ethos whilst staying.
We live next door at the village’s antique shop, and are very accessible if you need anything but far enough away that you don't have to see us.
