A traditional white painted stone country farmhouse set in the heart of
The Brecon Beacons and reached up a 3/4 mile private drive (not really
suitable for very low slung cars).
If you want to get away from it all this is an ideal base to explore
the beautiful countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with the
Tor-y-Foel Mountain and forest rising up behind the farmhouse and the
Taff trail only a couple of minutes away. The glorious and expansive
Talybont Reservoir with its bird hides, The Henry Vaughan Walk, The
Blyn-y-Glyn Waterfalls are also close by and yet the farm is within
walking distance of the busy village of Talybont on Usk. It boasts a
shop, cafe, and post office, three thriving local pubs, a restaurant
and an excellent Bike Hire centre. The picturesque River Usk runs on
outskirts and the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal passes through the
centre with a great flat walk along the towpath.
This is the perfect place to stay for serious mountain bikers or hill
walkers - with direct access on to the Brecon Beacons mountain trails
The very spacious and luxurious farmhouse is light and airy and is
furnished to an exceptionally high standard. There is underfloor
heating throughout which ensures it is warm and cosy whatever the
outside weather. The open plan sitting room has comfortable deep sofa
and chairs around a double aspect wood-burning stove ... again
wonderful on a chilly day - with a light and sunny room the other
side. There is a very interesting and eclectic collection of

there is plenty of local information, books, games and DVD's for guests
to enjoy. A local farmer rents the surrounding land for grazing sheep
and occasionally a couple of pigs in the woodland - well away from the
