residential street and offers lovely views to the high fells that
surround the village, walks of all standard direct from the door and

base from which to enjoy staying in the heart of one of the Lake
District’s most popular villages.

Offering ground floor accommodation throughout, Sethera offers a large
lounge with cosy log burning stove and a family dinning table set into
the large bay window offering beautiful views to the neighbouring
hills. The accommodation continues with two pretty bedrooms, a

there is a large lawned garden with patio area.

The centre of Coniston village is just a two-minute walk from the

on the shores of Coniston Water, most famously associated with Donald
Campbell and still used for world water speed record attempts. The
Lakeland’s third largest lake is a popular draw, with a choice of
activities on offer from canoeing and sailing to simply relaxing in

Accommodation in detail

The front door of Sethera opens to the inner hallway with coat hooks
and boot rack for all your outdoor gear. To the front of the cottage a
spacious lounge is well furnished with sofa and armchairs arranged
around the welcoming and cosy log burning stove, just the place to
relax in an evening in front of the fire and the TV. The large windows,
including the large bay window allow the light to floor in and offer
beautiful views to the surrounding Coniston Fells. A family dining,
sits in the bay window, making it a lovey place to socialise over
dinner in the evening or plan your days activities over breakfast in
the morning.

To the rear of the cottage, overlooking the garden, is a small but
well-appointed kitchen, with electric hob and double oven,
fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave. Choose from one of two bedrooms,
the first is presented with a kingsize bed and the second with twin
beds.

To the side of the cottage there is an outhouse that is equipped with
washing machine and tumble drier. A secure shed at the top of the
driveway is ideal for the storage of mountain bikes and other outdoor
gear.

To the front of the cottage there is a driveway with parking for one
car and a small garden planted with shrubs. To the rear of the cottage
there is a larger than expected lawned garden with a line of apple
trees making this a great place for children to play. The garden is
fully enclosed and secure making it ideal for children and dogs.

Location.

A Coniston holiday cottage takes you slightly away from the hustle and
bustle of Bowness and Lake Windermere, to a wilder landscape full of
adventure. Coniston Water is famous for its part in Arthur Ransome's
Swallows and Amazons, with Peel Island being the setting for the 'Wild
Cat Island' featured in the story. The lake is also known for Donald
Campbell's water speed record attempt in 'Bluebird'.

But the real magic comes from the breath-taking surroundings; dramatic
fells including Coniston Old Man, wild woodlands and wonderful Lake
District walks. You'll have access to no end of stunning routes, from
leisurely strolls to challenging ascents. You'll enjoy access to the
peaceful village centre, well equipped for stocking up the kitchen with
traditional butcher, artisan bakery and supermarket. There are lovely
tea rooms, cafes, restaurants and a number of traditional Lakeland pubs
in Coniston village including the award-winning brewery the Coniston
Brewing Co. There is also Sara's Indian restaurant in the village.

For a cultured day out, head to Brantwood historic house - an
impressive residence overlooking the lake, once home to John Ruskin the
famous artist, writer and creative thinker. You'll find a range of
events on offer, such as talks, concerts, craft workshops and even
outdoor theatre.
