Just a short drive away is the 'Capital of the Cotswolds' Cirencester, Painswick, Cheltenham, Stroud, the antiques center of Tetbury, the World Heritage City of Bath, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stonehenge, Cardiff, The Forest of Dean and much more. The recently refurbished accommodation comprises a small porch, opening into a modern kitchen/living area complete with wood burner. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom sleeping a maximum of 5 with 1 double, 1 twin and an overflow double sofa bed in the living room area. The property benefits from a small private terrace and garden. The cottage annex forms part of a large listed property, once occupied by the owner of one of the local mills. The cottage part of the house is believed to be about 400 years old in contrast to the more 'modern' Georgian West Wing of the house added around 1820 by the mill owner. Chalford was once a centre for the wool industry, with many beautiful old mills dotted through the valley, and the old Thames and Severn Canal running along the Valley bottom. Many houses you still can't drive to and the community of Chalford has a network of old donkey tracks for delivering goods and groceries.

The Cotswolds : The Cotswolds is 'quintessentially English' and still unspoiled. From Chalford and beyond you can enjoy the honey-coloured stone of the area, the dry-stone walls, the beautiful manor houses and quaint cottages both on and off the tourist trail.
