Off street parking directly opposite the cottage. Plenty of room and extra parking on request. Check-in is at any time after 4.30 pm.
The cosy cottage has recently been renovated but maintains the traditional character - with a contemporary feel to provide a home from home.
The property is double glazed and centrally heated throughout.
The ground floor is open plan with exposed beams and flagstone floors.
On one side of the room is a comfortable sofa arranged around the log burner. Logs and coal are provided with some kindling to get you started. The fireplace's exposed stone and lintel adds to the character. Wall mounted TV/DVD with freeview. WIFI in all areas. On the opposite side of the room is the dining table, which seats 4 people (highchair available). There is a comfy armchair the window with large reading lamp.
A newly fitted kitchen has everything you could need. Breakfast bar with 2 stools, dishwasher, digital radio, fridge, oven with grill, gas hob, toaster and all other kitchen crockery, glassware etc. There is also a microwave, freezer and washing machine in the utility area.
The back door leads out to a south-facing enclosed garden. Laid with slate chippings with various plants in pots. Wooden table seats 6, parasol, charcoal barbeque, washing line, sun loungers and sun chairs are all provided. There is a large lockable shed for bike/body board storage. Tumble dryer provided for drying those towels after a day at the beach.
The property has 2 bedrooms.
One has a King-size bed and the other a comfy double. The large bedroom has dual aspect. Exposed stone walls and feature fireplace. Dressing table and built in wardrobe. Hairdryer also provided. Travel cot in wardrobe if required.
Bedroom 2 also has built in wardrobe/cupboard space. Duvets, linens and towels are all provided for guests.
Family bathroom. Bath with shower over. Basin and heated towel rail.
Bandylegs is situated in the hamlet of Mount, in Warleggan parish.
The common moor is a short stroll up the road and you can wander freely amongst the highland cattle, moorland ponies and deer. The moor is also a great place to spot owls! There are footpaths and bridleways in every direction.
Cardinham woods is a Forestry Commission managed site. There are a range of mountain bike trails with the Bodmin Beast (a six mile blue graded loop), dialled-in Dave and Hells Teeth being the best tracks. Shared use fire tracks enable people ad cyclists to walk and roam throughout the woodlands. There is an excellent cafe, play area and barbeque area here as well. You can hire a bike or bring your own.
Lanhydrock house, owned by the National Trust also has a new cycle trail. They have a skills track and the cycle hub (cafe with log burner and good soup).
Bodmin Moor is right on the doorstep and offers an abundance of good walks - with woodland trails and cycle routes for all ages at nearby Lanhydrock Estate and Cardinham Woods. Siblyback lake, a 20 minute drive, offers watersports, walks and a cafe for a well deserved cuppa. Equidistant from both coasts, Fowey is the nearest coastal location, with Looe and Polperro a short drive away. Padstow and Port Isaac are a 35 minute drive - famous tanks to Doc Martin!
The mining heritage sites of Minions and Caradon Mines are an easy 15 minute drive. The Hurlers, Sharp Tor and the Cheeswring are all great walks - so don't forget your walking boots.
St Neot is a 5 minute drive from Bandylegs and offers a local shop, a beautiful church, children's park and a fantastic old coaching inn - The London Inn. The pub serves great food and is open all day in the summer months. In the winter you can cosy up by the log fires with a slow pint of Doom Bar.
Jamaica Inn, the notoriously haunted Inn - is 15 mins away and has a smuggling museum and farm shop.
Bodmin is the nearest town, where you can find supermarkets, leisure facilities and various eateries. Bodmin Jail is worth a visit on a rainy day.
The Eden Project is a 20 minute drive.
Camel Creek Adventure Park is also 20 minutes away.
Siblyback watersports - 15 minutes.
