A two bedroomed cabin set in a beautiful tranquil location on our eco friendly Moonacre Farm, the home of Moonacre Alpacas in Devon. Take a stroll on the farm where you will find a lovely natural lake. Dine on our timber decking or sit and have your morning coffee whilst watching the alpacas and their babies at play. A large garden space is also available next to the cabin with parking next to the property. For more details look up alpacas at Moonacre. We are situated in the heart of rural Devon in between Dartmoor & the North Devon coast.
Moonacre Farm is very tranquil and that includes the alpacas! Quiet animals, they are still very curious about you and what you are doing. They are always attracted by the camera and you will usually end up with an alpaca's nose in the middle of a selfie! We are an eco friendly farm, generating our own electricity and harvesting all of the rain water to use for the animals and the polytunnel.
You will have access to our lovely deck which overlooks the farm where you can chill out or dine. Parking will be available next to the cabin and there will be a good size enclosed garden area right outside the door. The female alpacas and their babies live in the field in front of you and to the side of the cabin and go into their shelter at night.
Venturing further afield you can wander down to the lake. We will of course give you a tour of the farm if you would like and explain all about the alpacas and introduce you to them all individually, yes I really do know all of their names and individual quirks. Babies are due in August so you may well see a new born alpaca (when they are very young they are called cria).Get the full listing »
