Once the ground floor of a stable block, The Freestall now offers the ultimate bolthole for up to six guests. Seriously indulge in the range of activities on hand. Or kick back and relax!
The Freestall is one of seven stunning five-star barns sensitively converted from a former 18th century dairy farm at Kilmington Barns. Located on a hillside above the village of Kilmington with wonderful views over the Axe Valley and the Jurassic Coast, the barns are set amongst 100 acres of beautiful private countryside.
Gone are the horses and groom – instead you’ll find glorious ground floor accommodation with wheelchair accessibility. Retaining its original character, luxurious style and modern facilities have been thoughtfully inserted. Underfloor heating is another touch of luxury and keeps the toes toasty in winter, whilst the porcelain floor tiles keep the rooms cool on wonderful summer days.
The Freestall benefits from a generous open plan reception space comprising a living area with comfy sofas and a dining zone, offering plenty of space for everyone to relax and dine together. A fully equipped open plan kitchen is next to the living area.
The Freestall has two en suite bedrooms; a king-size bedroom and a family room sleeping up to four, with a king-size, single and sofa bed.
You’ll also find the Hideaway Spa nestled within the tranquil settings, offering a hot tub and sauna, plus unique treatments delivered by highly trained therapists. A superb range of activities can also be arranged both on and off site, promising anything from cocktail making to canoeing!
If you want to switch off and take a rest from cooking, the highly rated chefs onsite can drop off meals direct to your door, or prepare a celebratory meal in your kitchen (clearing away included!). Alternatively, just a short stroll away is an onsite bar with adjoining new restaurant offering freshly prepared, locally sourced seasonal ingredients.
