Both bedrooms have real double beds. I love sitting in the big grandfather chair and reading a book. The bedrooms have large windows and lots of storage so you can easily unpack. I also provide an airbed in the living room for guest no.5. There are stairs inside the apartment. The living room is on the first floor and the bedrooms are on the second floor. All beds come with fresh and clean luxury linen. I always always make sure that every guest gets professionally cleaned linen. Same with towels - white fluffy ones are provided for each new guest.
There is only one bathroom in the apartment and it has a shower stall. No tub sadly. Shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer are provided.
For parents of little ones, I can bring a baby cot and high chair but please do let me know in advance.
The entire apartment barring a cupboard will be for my guests.
Lambeth is a borough in central London. The beauty of Lambeth is that is very residential but also very close to the most iconic sights of London. The walk from this house to Big Ben/Parliament and Westminster Abbey is just 15 minutes. You can also walk to Millbank and walk down all the way from Pimlico to Waterloo hugging the river bank.
At Waterloo lies one of my favourite things to do in London - Southbank Centre is an amazing area for plays, music, open air markets and concerts. This part of the river bank is known for its many pop up stores and markets. I recently went for a Spanish foods festival and feasted on sangria and chorizo!
You can of course ride the London Eye - a great way to see London from up above. This is one of the most famous sights in Waterloo.
There are lots of restaurants scattered around the popular sights in Westminster and Waterloo.
Another amazing thing to do here is walk all the way to Borough Market where you can find a wide array of farm fresh cheeses, meats, cooked foods and the amazing Monmouth coffee. You can also walk to Tate Modern on a good day.
If you are coming with little kids who need a space to relax and play, then head to the Archbishop Park which is about 5 minutes walk away from the house.
The closest tube station is North Lambeth and it is only 4 minutes walk to the Tube Station. This station is on the Bakerloo line will take you directly to Oxford Circus, Waterloo, Piccadilly Circus, Baker Street, Marylebone and Paddington - the last one being very useful as the Heathrow Express pulls into Paddington.
Walking and cycling around here is also easy. You can rent a bike from Santander city bikes by simply swiping your debit card and then ride down the Thames river bank.
