It is less than 10 minutes walk from Holyrood Palace and Park, the Parliament and Royal Mile and 15 minutes walk from Princes Street and Waverley Station. We are are on hand to assist if there is any information you need and there are guides and leaflets on what to see and do in and around Edinburgh but this digital entry allows flexibility for your arrival time so you aren't stressed if you plane or train is delayed.
Once settles in the apartment there are a number os things near by that we recommend you see and do. Holyrood Palace, Holyrood Park, the Queen's Gallery, the Scottish Parliament and the foot of the Royal Mile are all less than a 10 minute walk away.
The neighborhood is lively with great speciality shops, bars and restaurants. Try the Manna House for fantastic bread and patisserie, Polentoni for fabulous brunch, Cornelius beer and wine shop, Red Kite Cafe, the Safari Bar, the quirky Gardner's Cottage Restaurant or the Michelin-starred 21212 - all within 5-10 minutes walk!
There's a small supermarket 2 minutes away on Easter Road and a retail park with a large supermarket 10 minutes walk in the other direction.
In terms of getting to the apartment, the Airlink 100 bus goes to Princes Street. This takes about 30 minutes. Then you can take the 26 or 44 bus from Princes Street or a 5 minute taxi. A single ticket from the airport is £4.50. Trams to and from the airport also go along Princes Street and end at York Place. This takes about 35 mins. If you stay on till York Place, it’s then a 15 minute walk along London Road or 5 minute taxi. A single is £5.50.
Waverley Station is about 15-20 minutes walk via Princes Street and Regent Road or you can take the 26 or 44 bus from Princes Street or a 5 minute taxi. You can easily walk or a catch buses around the city centre, or take a bus to Leith, on the street nearby. A single ticket is £1.70 or a day ticket is £4.50.
If you're driving, there is free/unrestricted parking on the small one-way streets opposite the apartment.
