The Old Winery Clubhouse and Guest Villa built as part of the Guest Ranch at the Ranch at the Canyons is set along the Crooked River at the base of Smith Rock’s towering walls. Ranch at the Canyons is a private, conservation ranch, wildlife area, vineyard and natural paradise. Enjoy the peace and privacy of a rural Tuscan estate while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding Cascade peaks, desert canyons and rolling farmlands.
The Guest Villa offers 4 luxurious rooms and suites, gourmet kitchen with wood-fired oven, exercise room, heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, tennis court, large outdoor patios and Tuscan charm.
A private 1,700-acre property situated in the heart of Central Oregon, the Ranch offers breathtaking views of the towering Cascade Range and the desert canyons of Smith Rock State Park. Along with 600 acres of working farmland, the Ranch includes more than 500 acres of land permanently protected for conservation by the Deschutes Basin Land Trust. Herds of elk and deer, soaring raptors, schools of trout and other abundant wildlife call the Ranch home.
The Ranch is perhaps unlike any other place you’ve experienced. Here, you’ll find something that can’t be found anywhere else. A stunning farm designed to be at one with its surroundings. A setting that combines the best of luxury and simplicity. And, a special place to spend time with the people most special to you.
As the Ranch is an active farm and agricultural zone, only a limited number of guests can experience the Guest Ranch and all that is has to offer. The ultimate goal of the Guest Ranch is to support and further promote the farming and agricultural uses actively taking place on the Ranch. The use of the Ranch grounds outside of the Guest Villa grounds is not permitted without a Guide, this includes vehicles.
Fun Fact: The Ranch at the Canyons has provided the dramatic backdrop for many Hollywood movies including; "Wild" starring Reese Witherspoon, "Swordfish" starring John Travolta and Halle Berry, "The Postman" starring Kevin Costner, and "Rooster Cogburn" starring John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn.
