Plan your vacation or weekend getaway, escape the commercial destination resorts at our peaceful lodge home retreat on 9 private ac above the Deschutes River north of Bend. R & R in our 4 BR, 3 Bth, Gourmet Kit, & Great Rm, w/ amazing views of 9 Cascade Mts. Relax & soak in the Hot tub after enjoying some of Central OR activities, Golfing, Fishing, Rafting, Mt. biking; Hiking, & World class rock climbing at Smith Rock. On your down days sample some renown craft Beers, Wines, Distilleries, & maybe your luck at the Casino.
We designed the outside of our lodge home retreat with Breckenridge batten board siding, rough-sawed beam porches and 3 decks to "live outside" and enjoy meals and barbeques together, and take in the amazing views of the Cascades, valley, and river below.
Your sleeping facilities all have wonderful beds and comforters; the Master BR has a king bed, and a TV and VCR, it also has its own private bathroom with Travertine tile & glass shower. The other 3 BRs have Queen beds. The main Bath Rm has Travertine tile and glass surround tub/shower. The 3rd bathroom has convenient access to the hot tub so you can easily shower, etc.; it also has Travertine tile and shower.
The Great Room is where everyone hangs out together to cook, play games, watch movies, and relax. It has vaulted ceilings, beautiful Knotty Western Birch floors, and a wood stove for that winter ambiance. Spread out together on the 3 sofas and chair to watch the game or movies on the 50" HDTV/DVD w/ Dish TV & Net Flix; DVD's are in the cabinet; and there is WiFi for streaming.
The Gourmet Kitchen and Dining Rm has Knotty Alder cabinets and a Buffet, all with Granite counter tops. The Island Bar seats 6; all of the furniture is imported Indian Rosewood, the DR table seats 10. The Gourmet Kitchen is fully equipped, it has a 6 burner cook top w/ hood & warming lights, also a well stocked pull out spice rack, and basic condiments are in the fridge. We have our own 450 ft. well with the best tasting water in Oregon, and with no chemicals.
Out on the front deck is where the magic is, a full 180 degree view of 9 Cascade Mts, two cattle ranches with wonderful green alfalfa fields, and the legendary Deschutes River below. In the evenings sit around the gas firepit in the four cushion rockers with a glass of wine and review the days events and plans for tomorrow. For outside meals there's also seating for six more around the table. After dinner soak those aching muscles from the days activities in the Hot Tub while taking in the amazing views.
When it's hot there's always a nice breeze on the north deck, where there's two tables and chairs; it's a great place to sit in the afternoon shade and play cards, or take a siesta in the lounge chairs. Also, farther out on the lawn there's two hammocks in the Juniper trees for true R & R. When it's a little chilly in the morning, the back deck catches the morning sun and is a wonderful place to have your morning coffee, sit and read, or enjoy some early conversation.
A family favorite has been sitting out around the wood fire pit and roasting hot dogs and s'mores. Also, take some wine and cheese to the Gazebo out to the south side for a romantic picnic while taking in the view. Take on some competitive challenges on the Bocce, Boule, & Horseshoe courts; and for the adventurists there is even a rustic 9 hole Frisbee golf course through the sage brush & juniper trees.
Everyone who has stayed in our home is always amazed by the views and the quiet and peaceful surroundings; we're in the country but only 10 min. to the city if you need anything. With our four children and eight grandchildren we have created incredible memories in our home over the last 13 years.
We designed our home with duplex living areas, you'll be staying in the private 2,000 sq ft left side, with it's own separate front entry, 4 BRs, 3 full Baths, Great Room, & Gourmet Kitchen all on one level.
Tyrene & I live upstairs next door in the right side apartment and are "out of sight/out of mind", and are usually not home until evenings and often away on the weekends. We are always respectful of your privacy; we're far enough away but close if you need anything just call.
There is convenient parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway area. Outside you'll have 1,600 sq ft of 3 decks all to yourself, on 3 sides of the house so you can move around with the sun. For your outside dining enjoyment there are 3 dining tables w/ 16 chairs. Have barbecues and meals together, and after dinner sit around the gas fire pit, have a glass of wine, and watch the amazing sunsets on the beautiful Cascade Mts.

When I arrived in my car with my girlfriend Tom and Tyrene were waiting on the front porch to meet me. WOW, the place was just gorgeous with an incredible Deschutes River view and mountain views are just amazing from the huge spacious deck. The gas fire pit was perfect to sit by and share a glass of wine. The deck also had a gas grill and a pellet smoker! Around back is a customized bocce ball court which produced some laughs for us. The kitchen is huge and the living room has a designer lodge feel with leather couches. The place was spotless and it was obvious Tom and Tyrene take hosting very seriously. Tom gave us knowledge of places to climb at Smith Rock, places to mountain bike, and fishing. Tyrene also pointed my girlfriend Jenelyn to some amazing insider trinket shops in the town Sisters where unique gifts and artifacts can be found. The decor and setting of this huge cabin nestled on 9 Acres is like something out of a hollywood movie. The bathrooms were spotless and the linens were nice. The bed was also perfectly comfortable. To date this was one of our most unique and authentic stays on Airbnb! Thanks for everything Tom and Tyrene, top notch!!

If you want to get away and recharge. This is the place. Eastern Oregon has always been impressive, and this house reflects how wonderful the location is. Every single one of us guests were thoroughly impressed by the house, hospitality and communication. Honestly, this is the best Air BnB that I have had experience with. I highly, HIGHLY recommend.

Tom and Tyrene were incredibly kind, helpful and hospitable. They made us feel welcome and yet gave us our space. The home itself is beautiful, the view of the mountains from the hot tub alone was worth the trip. We had access to the full, gorgeous kitchen and had a relaxing sit down dinner for the first time in a long while. The bedrooms were spacious and clean, the bathrooms are to die for! It was a wonderful little get away from the city and we would definitely do it again.

This weekend a group of 8 of us stayed at Tom & Tyrene's BEAUTIFUL home. We had the most amazing time!! The home was filled with everything you would ever need. We just needed to but the food, but everything to cook with with in the home. The house was beautifully decorated for christmas! The wood stove fireplace in the living room kept it nice and warm in the snowy weather. The hot tub was the perfect touch! The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The best part was the views! Our trip was everything we hoped it would be and more! I would highly recommend staying in this home! We cannot wait to go back!
