Gaspar's Grotto is a 10,000 square foot restaurant/bar and event facility located in a historic building in the heart of the Ybor City National Landmark Historic District. Gaspar's Grotto is named after the famous local and legendary buccaneer, Jose Gaspar. The eclectic décor complete with dark woods, polished brass and authentic pirate and nautical artifacts help the visitor gain an understanding of Tampa's heritage of pirates, Gasparilla Krewes and the Cigar industry in Tampa. Saavy locals enjoy the heaping plates of pirate grub including ribs, Angus burgers, wraps and salads.
The restaurant is best known for it's signature HOG WILD PIRATE PARTY AND PIG ROAST which is held outside on the 6,300 square foot tropical patio, complete with fountains and tropical palms.
