The Inn property has been home to a local legend for 30 years. The founder of the once legendary annual Ybor Chicken Funeral Parade. A vastly popular New Orleans style funeral paying tribute to the lost chickens of Ybor each year. Chickens are a Ybor staple and have been part of the scenery that have made the city so unique for generations. He is one of the founders of Guavaween, and endless Ybor traditions. The social events creator brought life back to the city decades ago after the cigar industry recessed and urban renewal began to wipe away the city's rich architecture and culture.
