A lovely 4 bedroom villa, 3 bathrooms, pool and pool side casita, several terraces for alfresco dining, drinking and relaxing as well as wrap around gardens. The villa has been newly renovated and offers open plan living with air conditioned bedrooms. Enjoying spectacular views in the best location, a private villa development established over 30 years ago, (not a building site). Within walking distance we have two extra pools and a tennis court plus a members only club house bar facility, ideal for sending the kids to spend the afternoon. This villa is perfect for luxury family holidays or groups wanting style and sophistication. The villa sits in the middle of a large mature mountain plot, surrounded by citrus, olive & fig trees. There are many mod cons including wifi, freeview TV, DVD player, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and wireless printer/scanner. At the bottom of the mountain lies the village of Benidoleig with supermarket selling English & local produce, 3 Spanish bars serving food. The area boasts 800 bars/restaurants including the wonderful new Marina de Denia which provides modern and traditional food, roof top pool restaurant and chill out lounge. Many fabulous blue flag beaches.
The area is very popular for national and international cycling team training, making the villa ideal for enthusiasts. The area is also spectacular for walking, with many marked trails close to the villa. There is also the ancient "cave of the skulls" directly under the mountain. The Jalon Valley is 15 mins drive away. Within 10 minutes drive is La Marina, the largest shopping mall in the area full of shops and places to eat.
The Mediterranean & Denia’s golden coastline is only 20 mins drive away. There are many beaches ranging from music based chiringuitos, commercial beaches, deserted white sandy to natural stony beaches.
We recommend that clients book a car from the airport.
Please note - there are numerous steps around the villa so it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
Many villages surround the mountain, the closest is 2 mins away.
The villa is unbelievably quiet. You can see the coast from the villa but you will need to take the car to get there. Oliva beach with its famous Oli-Ba-Ba beach bar is only 15 minutes easy drive away, as are the 14km of beautiful sandy beaches in Denia. The beaches at Les Marines, Les Bovetes, Les Deveses and Els Palmars are ideal for family days out. Benidoleig is situated between Pedreguer and Orba. It boasts the magnificent natural Las Calaveras Cave (Cueva de las calaveras) with its stalagmites and stalactites at a length of more than 300m. Benidoleig feels the closeness of the sea but at is surrounded by an impressive mountain range the Sierra de Segaria. The plain is covered with orange and lemon groves, almonds, cherries and of course olives.
Dining is an important part of any visit to this part of Spain. We like Casa Pepa, which is between Benidoleig and Ondara, and has one Michelin star. In ‘old’ Denia we always go to El Raset and Can Broch (where you can cook your own steak the way you like it). In the new Marina, El Bravo is the most popular place and you need to book a few days ahead. In the north of Denia, Quique Dacosta- El Poblet is the top restaurant and one of the best in Spain with 2 Michelin stars.Get the full listing »
