New to the market beautifully appointed 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with superb terrace and sun soaking south westerly facing garden. Recently refurbished to luxury standards within walking distance to the beach and range of restaurants and bars.
Small gas BBQ provided with a limited full size gas canister provided for all guests.
Carvajal is superbly located at the Belamadena end of the bay, a little quieter than the hussle and bustle of Fuengirola, but just a short pleasant walk along the palm lined promenade. Many excellent quality Spanish Restaurants and Chiringuitos, including my favourite ‘La Cubana’ are closely located. There are some great foodie type restaurants here including Restaurante las Tablas del Rey, say 'hi' to David and Anna, as well as budget conscious ones like the Cyberbar, cheap for tapas around 1.50€ each and Victoria beers!
Also a small supermarket with fresh baked bread is nearby.
The 8km long bay has golden brown sand and generally green flag swimming; life gurads are generally on duty throughout the season. There are a number of neatly laid out straw umbrellas and sun loungers. On beach shower points and toilets are available.
The whole bay has been massively invested in and the whole of the promenade now looks great with many trees planted, easy access and level pavements as well as plenty of well maintained facilities.
The Metro railway station located just a 5 minute walk away from the property which provides a direct link from Malaga and the airport through to Fuengirola. This makes hiring a car non-essential although the walk up to the apartment is quite steep. I'm over 60 with arthritis and I can make it ok!
There is an excellent taxi service available from the beach side of the road by the station.
The large bright c50sq m lounge/kitchen opens out through sliding doors onto the 110sq m terrace with al fresco dining table. The 80sq m garden with neat irrigated terracotta planters provides a beautiful relaxing area to sunbathe or place to chill out, sun loungers provided.
There are 3 bedrooms; 2 twins with large public bathroom, rainhead/hand held shower.
1 double en suite with shower and bath.
All bedrooms have individually controlled a/c units and ceiling fans as does the lounge.
The integral kitchen provides all you would need including dishwasher and microwave, oven and hob, toaster, kettle and of course plenty of utensils. A washing machine is located in the en suite bathroom.
Impressive contemporary artwork and furniture add a serious touch of quality to this impressive large apartment. Complimentary WiFi and use of the multi channelled TV with Bluetooth sound bar will keep you in touch, Netflix is also available.
Stroll along the impressive promenade to Fuengirola and you will find countless beach bars and restaurants, not all are open year round. Enjoy the BBQ grilled sardines from the beach fires and sample the best local dishes and wines. The town centre of Fuengirola has many shops of all types as well as one of the most extensive markets in Europe! Usually the market is held twice a week. At the far end of the promenade you will find the fascinating Moorish Solhail Castle dating back to AD 956.
In Fuengirola you will also find Bioparc Fuengirola, a naturalistic zoo internationally recognised. There are all the usual water sports and trips out from the beach and centre as well as the popular Water Park with wave pool and slides.
There are many great quality golf clubs in the area, as well as a favourite with families in particular is Tivoli World with fountains, gardens and lots of entertainment. Fuengirola Adventure Golf provides a golf themed putting game for all the family, great fun with water interacting with 10 holes out of the 19!
Take the air-conditioned Metro to Malaga and visit the historical old town. There are 2 massive hilltop citadels, remnants of Moorish rule as well as the Pablo Picasso Museum amongst many other attractions. The Metro stops at all the areas en route including such favourites as Torremolinos and Belamadena as well as Los Boliches towards Fuengirola.
Puerto Belamadena is a short distance away where you'll find the Aquarium and a fascinating array of moored yachts, there are countless numbers of boat trips available from here.
Going inland I can recommend trips to the nearby 2 Pueblos, Belamadena and Mijas, beautiful Spanish traditional hillside whitewashed villages. A train ride or drive is the amazing mountaintop city of Ronda and the incredible gorge that separates the city's circa 15th century new town.
Along the coast to the west is the city and resort of Marbella, with the Golden Mile of nightclubs and coastal estates leading to Puerto Banus and the marina filled with luxury yachts, high end boutique shops and bars where you can happily people watch for the day. Further along is Gibralter.
Staying closer to home, within the Don Juan development you have access to a private pool.
The apartment is ideal for 2 couples and 2 children over the age of 6 years are welcome. Don Juan is certainly close to a good range bars and restaurants in the immediate area.
