The Costa Blanca / Valencia region
Welcome to this exhilarating and enchanting part of Spain. This region stretches from Valencia, which is home to Formula 1 and Americas Cup racing in the north to Alicante in the south.
Along the white coast of the Costa Blanca you will find some of Spain's most popular beach resorts including Javea, Denia, Moraira, Altea, Benissa and Calpe offering blue flag beaches, excellent sports activities, lovely marinas and fishing ports surrounded by restaurants and bars serving some of the best of Spain's traditional cuisine.

Alfaz town center is a five minute drive from the villa. Everything you might need for your holiday, is available. From Albir you can walk along the prom to the harbor and yacht port of the picturesque old Spanish town of Altea where you relax in one of the fabulous sea side cafes. Altea is rightfully known as 'A Jewel in the Valencia Region'. This picturesque town looks out over the sea across one of the most delightful bays on the Mediterranean. Overflowing with history, over the centuries Altea has welcomed (or been conquered by) Iberians, Romans, Moors and Christians, all of whom have contributed to the special culture of these coastal lands. The Old Town, with a walk through the cobbled streets and fits the designer boutiques and craft shops up to the 'Domed Church' plaza at the top, should be on everyone's itinerary. In the Plaza the cultural and leisure center of Atea is the magnificent Church of the Virgen del Consuelo (Our Lady of Solace). Altea's peacefulness and tranquility have made it a paradise for artists and craftsmen.
The thriving tourist metropolis of Benidorm is only a short fifteen to twenty minutes drive from the villa -with the four great theme parks, Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia and Mundomar, being ideal for keeping the family content.

Altea has many attractions and you will not be stuck for things to do. The resplendent church of Nuestra Senora del Consuelo was built in 1910 and it is a splendid example of a Mediterranean church with hand-painted, sea blue mosaic tiles.
The shopping district of Altea is very quaint and old-style Spanish. The shops usually open between 10 am and 9 PM, but many shop owners will adhere to the custom of taking a siesta during the hot months, and therefore will close between 2 and 4 PM.

Our Village - Altea la Vella
Der er en ny og en gammel del til landsbyen. The old part is on a small hill with tiny streets and a lovely church. You must look inside. In the newer part of the village there is a theater, school, bars, cafes and shops, and a couple of bakery
There are fiestas all year round in Altea. Highlights include the Easter Carnival, the seaman's celebrations in Honor of San Lorenc, and the Castell de L'Olla festivities with fireworks and music on sea and land around 12th August, and the town's main fiestas in honor of the Santissim Crist del Sagari and Sant Blai (Altea's patron saint), with the traditional Moros in Cristians, a mock battle between the Moors and Christians on the forth week in September.
