We are so excited to open up our place to fellow Aibnb travelers! If you are looking for a quiet, nicely decorated and calm place to stay during your time in Madrid, I'm sure you will have a great time in our home. My flat was decorated reflecting our personality - it is bright and spacious, with a beautifully minimalist decor and a super calm feel. It’s the ideal place to come back to after a day of exploring, as it has a huge double-sofa, which is great to lay back and get some rest. Great transport links mean you’ll be right in the hub of the city but able to escape the hustle and bustle!
Natural light flows through the living area, making it bright and airy. It’s very convenient as the open plan space includes an expansive dining table that seats four, so you can enjoy a meal with family or friends. Surrounded by very large windows fitted with beautiful lined curtains, the room has a large, comfy sofa that can be turned into a double-size bed, and flat screen TV, so you can make yourself at home.
In order to feel at home, you can use our fully-equipped kitchen, which has everything you need to prepare a quick meal, or cook up a storm. All the appliances are modern and easy to use, including a kettle, toaster microwave, and dishwasher. Get a wonderful night’s rest on the super comfortable double bed, fitted with fresh, luxury linens. The contemporary design of the room includes storage space that also works as a division with the kitchen, so you can have some privacy while taking your breakfasts in the mornings.
Freshen up in the modern bathroom - wake up in the mornings with the luxurious rain shower. White fluffy towels and shampoo are provided!
My studio will be professionally cleaned before your stay.
Please note that we have sensitive neighbours so keep the noise at a reasonable level.
The guests will have access to the whole flat, yet is paramount that we are respectful towards our neighbors. Thank you!
My friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while I am away; they are a short-lets management service team who know Madrid like the back of their hand! I trust them to look after you and give you a warm welcome! If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch through the channel platform.
Madrid’s City Center is exciting, with a hugely diverse selection of restaurants and markets. You will be located in the borough of Malasaña, the streets are colourful and quirky - lamp posts are covered in stickers, white façades and lots of street art! Enjoy the sun with cold beers and tasty food in the small squares full of bistros and cafes.
Some of my recommendations for drinks are Lolina, where you will travel back in time among the vintage amenities, if you are a sugar addict try the cupcakes at Happy Day or try some cocktails in Vacaciones Cocktail Bar.
Malasaña is home to a mix of gourmet burger bars - don’t miss out Zombie Bar and street food spots - super trendy! Also there are some traditional tapas bar such as El Pez Gordo. The heart is the Mercado de San Ildefonso, a street food market on Calle Fuencarral - you will love it!
In the streets you will have vintage shops and a huge variety of cocktails bar iconic from “La Movida”.
I hope you enjoy this area as much as I do.
The flat is located in the centric neighbourhood of Malasaña, so you could hardly be better located!
Noviciado is the nearest station to the property, just a three minute walk away. You can board to L2 (red), which is ideal as you can get in about seven - ten minutes to Gran Vía, to the Cibeles Fountain or the magnificent Parque del Retiro.
There is also Bilbao underground station just a two minute walk away, this connects you with L1 (blue) and also L4 (brown), it takes about 9 minutes to arrive to Plaza del Sol and about 15 minutes to Atocha’s Train Station.
Near the apartment there are a few bus stops, so you can get into the city with the No. 3 and 147 bus that will take you to Callao, you can explore by taking any of them from Calle de Sagasta. And at night the N23 will take you to Cibeles, you can explore by taking any of them from Calle de Fuencarral.
Barajas Airport is particularly with an easy access, you will need to take the L8 metro until Nuevos Ministerios, then change to L10 until Tribunal. Then you will need to walk about seven minutes to get to the flat - journey will take around 40 minutes!
If you don’t like to use public transport, you can use Uber or Cabify to move around the city, it is very well connected. I'm sure you will fall for the city as much as I love it - it is very exciting to visit Madrid in comfort and good locations!
You will be required to present your IDs at the moment of the checkin. It is compulsory by law to register all the guests into the local police. Hope this is not an inconvenience.Get the full listing »
