The apartment forms the whole of the ground floor of the house.
It is completely separate.
The lounge and the main bedroom overlook the garden of the house where there are many tropical fruit trees and cacti.
The lounge is spacious and has a dining and a kitchen area.
It is well furnished with a pleasant settee, a dining table with four chairs for chairs.
There is a television with local English programmes example BBC ITV CBeebies etc, there is basic sky and a new system which we are still trialling offering 100 English programmes via computer. The system also supplies a good Wi-Fi system which of course is believe slower than the system in the UK.
The two spacious bedrooms are equal in size. The front one overlooks the garden as to the lounge.
There is a large bed in the front bedroom and two single ones in the second.
The second bedroom is partly built out of the rock face.
The large shower room, almost a wet room is perhaps a star feature of the apartment. The rock face in this room fills almost the whole of the back wall and the side wall. Many would rate this room is the best room in the whole house.
The kitchen area as a full oven, a microwave oven and two gas rings.
There is also a large fridge freezer.
There is the usual kettle, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and a clothes horse. (Drying can take as long as an hour!!)
The burglar is partly covered for shade. The front wall of the burglar is a glass panel which stops any breeze.
Here there are four chairs and a table.
There is a dedicated washing machine for the apartment.
The swimming pool area is magnificent.. It has its own garden. A stonewall provides shelter and seclusion.
The pool is heated throughout the year with solar heating and for the cooler months and electric heater.
There is also a table and umbrella and four chairs together with two sunbeds on the pool surround.
There is a den which is totally enclosed and has two sunbeds, a fridge and television. (A useful area to avoid the sun)
The whole house runs on solar power. There are 32 panels on the roof which at this time of year (October) supplies 3 kW of power to charge our batteries.
We are also on the mains electricity and even have a generator and the third backup!!
The garden is irrigated using freshwater for vegetables and the pool area. The wastewater is purified and filtered and supplies the many trees and bushes that we are lucky enough to have.
Two of these are remarkable in that a fir tree which is now 10 foot high came as a pot plant for Christmas five years ago and a poinsettia a which is now 5 foot tall certainly came as a pot plant three years ago. (At the end of the village as a poinsettia tree)Get the full listing »
