Experience unforgettable outdoor adventures at this two-bedroom South Fork home, a dog-friendly log cabin with a private hot tub, an enclosed yard with a gas grill, and an unbeatable location for hiking, skiing, fishing, and kayaking in Southwest Colorado.
You'll find this 850-square-foot cabin at the Foothills Lodge and Cabins in South Fork, a hub for all-seasons recreation at the confluence of the Rio Grande and South Fork Rivers. Ski and snowboard on the slopes of Wolf Creek Ski Area 19 miles south, take easy day trips into Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve 66 miles east, and spend your days hiking, horseback riding, and snowshoeing in nearly two million acres of national forest land and the Weminuche Wilderness.
Whether you're planning to hike the Continental Divide Trail or kayak one of the nearby rivers, you'll come home to comfortable furnishings, free WiFi, and a fireplace to warm your toes. Take soothing dips in the private, six-person hot tub, let your dog stretch his legs in the enclosed yard (please note that a nightly pet fee applies), and flip steaks on the gas grill for dinner at the picnic table. Back inside, you can whip up buttered popcorn and hot cocoa in the kitchen and gather around one of the two flatscreen TVs for movie night with your loved ones.
Come ski, hike, and explore to your heart's content - discover the magic of Southwest Colorado at this South Fork cabin!
You must contact us to add more than one dog to the reservation, if allowed. $20 per dog, per night. If pets are allowed, the charge for the first dog will be included in the total cost listed.
Parking Notes: Please park in front or on the side of the unit. The parking area between Lodge Buildings 1-5 and Elk Cabin is shared between guests in Elk Cabin and Lodge Cabin 5. Please don't block the main drive. There is additional parking around the area (between Lodge buildings 1-5 and the stone line near the gazebo with the hot tub, in front of the shop, alongside the office, along the backside of Elk Cabin toward the dumpster, behind the shed north of Moose Lodge, and east of Fox Cabin). There’s also a large, vacant restaurant parking lot; use it only south of the office and Lodge buildings 1-5.<br><br>
WINTER HAZARDS: Snow and ice can accumulate throughout the property. Along the north side of Lodge buildings 1-5 is one of these areas. Ice and snow build up all winter long until late March or early April. The roofs of the Lodge buildings are metal; snow and ice tend to give way in large sheets all at once, so please be aware of the edge of the roof and where your vehicle is parked.
Guest Entry Instructions: This rental utilizes an E-lock, a digital lock that requires an unique code to enter. This code is reset after each guest's stay.
Damage Waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee (“Management”), plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.)
The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
