This rental, in a small group of similar lodges, is best suited for couples, a few friends, or a family seeking outdoor adventure. The family dog is welcome to join and a shared hot tub is great for evening relaxation.
South Fork is located in Southwest Colorado, near the Rio Grande National Forest. The nearest ski area, Wolf Creek, is less than 20 miles away, making this vacation rental perfect for travelers hoping to spend a few days skiing and snowboarding. If you're visiting in the summer, you'll have easy access to hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing, as well as fishing and rafting on the Rio Grande.
The interior of this vacation rental is reminiscent of a classic log cabin, with rustic elements designed to make you feel right at home. After a long day on the mountain, whether hiking or skiing, the comfortable living room furniture invites you to put your feet up and relax while you use the free WiFi to share pictures with friends back home. Cooking is easy in the kitchen, which features all of the standard appliances, including an electric range, a full-size fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Everyone is sure to get a good night's sleep, especially Fido after a full day running around (please note a small, nightly pet fee).

Parking Notes: Please park to the left of the door and don't block the main drive. There is additional parking around the area (between Lodge buildings 1-5 and the stone line near the gazebo with the hot tub, in front of the shop, alongside the office, along the backside of Elk Cabin toward the dumpster, behind the shed north of Moose Lodge, and east of Fox Cabin). There’s also a large, vacant restaurant parking lot; use it only south of the office and Lodge buildings 1-5.<br><br>
WINTER HAZARDS: Snow and ice can accumulate throughout the property. Along the north side of Lodge buildings 1-5 is one of these areas. Ice and snow build up all winter long until late March or early April. The roofs of the Lodge buildings are metal; snow and ice tend to give way in large sheets all at once, so please be aware of the edge of the roof and where your vehicle is parked.
Guest Entry Instructions: This rental utilizes an E-lock, a digital lock that requires an unique code to enter. This code is reset after each guest's stay.
Damage Waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee (“Management”), plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.)
The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
