The kitchen island, with 4 stools, is ideal for having breakfast or hanging out. The kitchen opens to the dining room that fits up to 10 people. The open living/dining/kitchen are perfect for family and friends to gather. The outdoor covered terrace adjacent to the living room overlooks the garden with two majestic oaks, a creek and a 100 year old vine. The outdoor sofas are ideal for lounging outside. The outside table fits 10 people. There is a coal barbecue that you can use.
There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms in the main house plus a cottage with its ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom features one king size bed and en suite bathroom with double vanity and shower. The second bedroom has two twin size beds, one twin size daybed with a twin size trundle. The third bedroom has two twin size beds. The second and third bedroom share a full bathroom with a double vanity, a shower and a tub. The bonus cottage is located near the house right next to the creek. It is ideal for additional privacy and offers direct access to the garden. It has been fully remodeled and has a beautiful vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses that give it a very warm and country feel. It features a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. There is a TV inside the armoire with cable.
The TV room has plenty of room to relax with two comfortable sofas that overlook the garden and the neighbor’s vineyard. There is a game table and a wood burning fireplace (from 1940) and a flat screen TV with 120 channels available.
There is a Hot tub in the back side of the house. The hot tub is accessed easily from the TV room.
We are happy to host you in our own home-away-from-home. We live in the Bay Area and use this as our weekend house. We have spent a lot of time, energy, money, and love setting up the house. We hand painted a lot of the furniture and made all linen pieces. Please treat this house as your own and respect the fact that we live here every other weekend. The house is in a neighborhood with families who live there permanently. We will absolutely not tolerate partying, so if partying is in your plans, please look elsewhere. We know all our neighbors and want to make sure that our guests do not disturb them.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: our house comfortably sleeps 8. Local laws prohibit overnight occupancy in excess of 8. Local laws also strictly prohibit use of the house for weddings, receptions, parties, or any event involving outdoor music. Maximum day occupancy is 14, and we allow no more than 4 cars on the property during the day and no more than 3 cars overnight.
WIFI: There is WiFi throughout the house (it can be slow). In addition, the router is located near the porch and garden so there is also WiFi in most of the outdoor areas within the property.
NOISE REGULATIONS: full compliance with noise regulations is extremely important in Sonoma Valley. Our vacation permit could be rescinded if our guests do not comply with the Sonoma County rules.
QUIET HOURS are 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM - No music outside is allowed at any time. The terrace or hot tub should not be used after 9:00 PM.
Groups looking to host parties, receptions, or other events should please look for a more isolated home, a nearby winery, or a hotel. Our home is in a peaceful part of Sonoma Valley and is best for groups of friends and families looking for a relaxing retreat in a beautiful and quiet spot.
MAXIMUM STATY -maximum stay is 2 nights, there is is 3 night minimum stay for long weekends and holidays (including the summer).
PERMIT: our house is fully permitted and insured. Sonoma County Permit No. TVR 18-0173. Sonoma County TOT Certificate No. 3422N. For the safety and peace of our guests and neighbors, it is important that we remain in full compliance with Sonoma County’s vacation rental rules.
