Out Door Space:
The back door leads onto a patio where there's a grill that you're welcome to use and a seating nook atop our cat house. There's a backyard/courtyard that is upkept by our gardener but our downstairs neighbor has requested that guests not go in the garden as she is worried about safety and seeing strangers in the garden.
We are technically located in Hayes Valley but its more like Lower Haight; we're right on the Wiggle (which for those who are unfamiliar is a bike path that winds through the city and is the flattest route for cyclists – it’s very popular and is fairly busy with commuter cyclists in the morning) and have a myriad of shops, game stores and the Emporium, cafes, coffee or tea shops, ice cream stops, restaurants (like Nopa or Kibatsu), tourist destinations (like the Painted Ladies), art bars (Madrone), and grocery stores (Lunardi's, Safeway, Whole Foods, Gus's Haight Street Market, Bi-Rite) all within a 15-minutes’ walk.
There are a number of MUNI stops within just blocks of the apartment that will take you anywhere in the city you wish to go. Lyfts and Ubers will arrive in 1 or 2 minutes as we're in the heart of the city and so drivers tend to circle in the area. There's free street parking; we have never gotten a ticket for not moving our cars per residential overage in the 5 years we have lived here (not saying that that guarantees anything) and so really the only thing to watch out for is street cleaning (Wednesdays and Fridays depending on which side of the street you're parking on). There's usually a spot easily found within a block of the apartment. We also have a gate which makes it very easy and safe if you're trying to have packages delivered (it automatically locks upon closure).Get the full listing »
