Centrally located in the heart of Pacific Beach, this comfy property is the perfect getaway to relax or have fun. Not only is it one mile to the beach & half a mile to the bay, but is also located just outside the "party zone" where parking & noise are abundant. The home has excellent privacy as the front yard is raised five feet above street level and has security cameras in the front to ensure your safety freshly stocked with towels, linens, coffees, teas, drinks, snacks & board games.
This property is situated in a quiet and comfortable single family residence located in Pacific Beach, CA. It is a 2B/1B with a very spacious living & dining room. The space is well thought out and tailor-made for families, couples on a romantic getaway, business parties, all visitors looking to explore San Diego, vacations to the beach, and more. With all kinds of board games, bikes, front yard space, beach gear, & close proximity to everything you will have plenty of options for enjoyment. Located next to both the ocean & the bay, you have plenty of things to do around here whether it’s riding a beach cruiser to the beach, going on a walk along Mission Bay, going out to the lively downtown PB area, or even venturing outside of Pacific Beach to visit other areas. My favorite part about this place is the seating area outside in the front yard. It is extremely peaceful especially in the morning times and during evenings just before sunset. Since Mission Bay is only a half mile away, there are also fireworks you can see from both the yard and the kitchen window from time-to-time. I put in a lot of effort to be fair to you & keep my place clean, so you will never have to worry about sleeping in a dirty home. Aside from being in beautiful Pacific Beach, you will have access to all kinds of entertainment in the home such as in the living room where there is a smart TV + cable with Netflix, Prime Video, HBOGO, Youtube, ESPN and more. You have the choice of utilizing the Roku TV or Spectrum Cable by simply switching the video source on the remote. In the hallway cabinet that you will have access to, there are also a number of board games & card games that you & your family/friends can use for entertainment. Some of my childhood favorites are in there! In the kitchen, the closet has been converted into your very own coffee & tea station. The coffees, teas, sugars, & creamers you see on the table are on the house. In the dining room area there is also a clear glass table with a bed of succulents underneath. On that table sits colored index cards that we encourage you to write a note/letter on! We love to keep a memory of all our guests and will put them permanently inside the coffee table underneath the glass for display to all future guests.
You have full 24-hour access to everything in this home with the exception of the locked cabinets located in the hallway & inside the gate on the side of the house. Come and go as you like! There's an electronic lock powered through WiFi, so there are no keys to keep up with! You are more than welcome to use that area for barbecuing, but we ask that you please stay out of the gate out of respect to the owner and his dog. That area leads to the other section of the property which is currently occupied by the owner. However not to worry, the owner is in the property only 30 days out of the year as he travels frequently for business. You may hear the occasional door shut or voice, but he has his own separate access to the property. When barbecuing, there may also be a dog that approaches the gate to come play. Do not worry, her name is Zoie and she is very sweet! You will also have access to all the bicycles, boogie boards, skim board & beach chair. These items will be located on the right side of the house facing the front door. Pass the corner on the right side where there is a green tree, and you will see the bikes stationed along the pathway.
Ideally I find it is best to have a system in place that allows as little physical contact as possible for the sake of both myself and the guest. I want my guests to be able enter &
exit this property as if it is home. No need for missing keys, inaccurate meeting times, check-in tardiness, just simply enter & exit the property freely just like your home.
Although I believe less contact is better, I am still readily available at my finger tips and will be responding to your calls/messages at all times. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is an issue. I live nearby and can come in the case of an emergency and also have a great relationship with the owner of the property.
Some common questions that have come up during my stays include the following:
Q: Do I need to pay for the coffees & teas on the coffee table?
A: No, that is all free on the house!
Q: What is the temperature of the home like?
A: The home has both an air conditioning & heating unit in the living room so you will have full control over the temperature of the place.
Q: Do i have to pay for parking and is parking difficult to find?
A: No, parking is free. The vast majority of the time, you will be able to find a parking spot right of the house on Emerald Street even if it is across the street. However, it is a residential neighborhood, so parking spaces can get taken depending on how late it is. Most of these homes do not have drive ways but there is TONS of curb space.
Q: Do I need to pay for the drinks & snacks in the fridge?
A: No, it is free & on the house!
Q: Is the area safe?
A: Yes, the area is very safe and has plenty working class citizens like you and I. There are some lingering homeless people in the area, but there are homeless people all throughout California. Most of the homeless stay closer to the beach, we are just outside that zone and are located in the nicer residential district. The neighborhood is very low crime and extremely lively throughout the week with tons of activities to do!
Q: Is there a market nearby?
A: Yes there is a Ralphs, Trader Joes, CVS & Whole Foods all within 3 minutes driving distance.
Q: My flight as arriving very late. Is it ok if I check in after 11pm?
A: Yes, my check-in window is very flexible. The process is self check-in so I will provide very in depth details on how to access the unit.
Q: How close is the water?
A: The bay is only half a mile away, so only about a 10 minute walk south on Noyes St. The beach is just over a mile away which makes for a perfect bike ride!
Q: What are these note cards on the Blooming Table in the dining area?
A: Great question! Many guests come and go, so we thought of a way to have all our guests leave their mark permanently on the property. We offer our guests the opportunity to write a note/letter/drawing on one of these notes cards. Any card that our team finds inside the box on the table will be permanently placed underneath the glass on the living room coffee table!
Q: How do I work the heater?
A: On the bottom portion of the coffee table, there is a white remote, the same color of the AC/Heating unit, that controls the device.Get the full listing »
