Book with the confidence that your stay will be even better than a hotel, both in terms of price and quality. If you're new to HomeAway, this booking will make you a fan. Rest assured that we will make your stay as comfortable as we would want it if we were the guests!
If we're more expensive than the other places you're looking at, it's simply because we're better. We know what we're doing and we know how to look after our guests, as our reviews show. We are acutely aware that too many hosts are not familiar with the concept of 'guest service'.
The space is designed with a contemporary theme, quite distinct from our other listing known as The Mancave.
While The ManCave (8 blocks to the east) is traditional, masculine, hellish, naughty, old-fashioned and more 'Bohemian Romania', this Urban Oasis is more contemporary, feminine/metro, heavenly, crisp, fresh and more 'Scandinavia'.
Let us know if you need a Pack'N'Play for a small child, and we'll make it happen.
We do not (and legally cannot) supply alcohol in the ‘Urban Oasis’ but you can certainly bring your own - just don't let it get out of hand! There is a grocery store a few blocks away (the Culinaria) in order for you to stock the kitchen.
'Urban Oasis' is designed for folks who want to live in a barracks-like adult 'camp'. It's ideal for a group of friends who'd rather not spend $200/night each on a cramped hotel room, and who'd rather hang out together in one big fun space, rather than have to always go out to restaurants and bars. There is plenty of space here.
This is a spacious floor with many things to do including:
• 75" TV
• Roku (Netflix, Sling, Directvnow etc)
• Xbox One
• Fast Wi-Fi (1Gbps)
• Fully equipped kitchen (not food)
• Coffee Maker (Keurig), Toaster
Pop over to the Culinaria grocery store (8 blocks away) and make yourself a gourmet meal in the large fully equipped kitchen.
Sleeping Arrangements (Up to 22 guests can stay in Urban Oasis):
4 full-over-full-size bunk-beds (i.e. 8 full-size mattresses) plus
3 queen-size sofa-beds.
Guests have 24/7 access to the entire 2nd floor space known as "Urban Oasis".
There's no gas supply used in the building - it's all electric. It's very safe and secure.
Interaction with guests
L'Academie Beauxbatons is a carefully crafted space for gathering and mindfulness and is connected with The Downtown Health & Wellness building a few blocks away.
It's also part of the private city residences of Dr. & Mrs. Saggar. You can do your own thing and we'll leave you alone, or you can use our additional services, such as massage, yoga, group meditation and acupuncture - just ask about them once your booking is confirmed and we'll send you a link with details, pricing and so on. No hard sell. Only book services if you want them.
I (Sonny) and/or my associates (Laura, Pam, Howard) are 100% reachable 24/7 to answer any questions you may have, make you feel comfortable getting in and out of the city, and provide a smooth check-in/check-out experience.
Our goal is to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible and frankly, that you'll wish to recommend the Urban Oasis to other good people!
Other things to note
Please note: this space is intended for accommodation of guests. It is NOT an event space and it is not designed for parties. It is for staying and sleeping in.
We will ensure that you have sufficient towels, sheets, toilet paper and soap for the number of people you've stated will be in your party.
We know and fully understand that you 'gotta party', but well, you know what I just be sensible about it... (This is one reason for the higher than average security deposit that you give HomeAway, which is of course fully refunded if there are no issues).
You can certainly park at the meters on the street, which are free after 7pm (until 7am the next day) and all day Sunday as well as on holidays.
You can also park in one of the nearby surface parking lots, if you have more cars.
To clarify, please note that booking The Urban Oasis alone, does NOT include any kind of parking.
The Beauxbatons Academy of Magic (French: Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons) is a magic school first introduced in Goblet of Fire. Beauxbatons has a history that goes back at least 700 years, when it first began participating in the Triwizard Tournament.
The Academy is housed in a glittering palace in France. The food, at least according to Fleur, is delicious. Students wear blue and grey silk uniforms. Rather than suits of armour, statues of ice that glitter like diamonds during the Christmas season flank the halls of Beauxbatons. While only female students of Beauxbatons are portrayed in the film, the books imply that the school is co-ed since Hogwarts students Parvati and Padma Patil are asked to dance by two Beauxbatons boys at the Yule Ball.
Goblet of Fire states that Beauxbatons Academy owns a large carriage the size of a house flown by horses whose hooves are as big as dinner plates; it can accommodate a large party of students and their half-giant (according to Hagrid) headmistress. The carriage is pale blue and has the Beauxbatons coat of arms on it (two crossed, golden wands, each emitting three stars).
The phrase beaux bâtons means "beautiful wands" in French.
Parking is available 2 blocks in either direction east or west on Oliver Street for just $5 a night.Get the full listing »
