This is a quiet little neighborhood. There isn't much in the immediate 5 minute walk radius except a few children's playgrounds ranging in size.
There is a small craft beer bar run by an American 2 minutes walk which has an ok selection and good prices.
There is a store (2min walk) that sells alcohol after 11 for cash. (It is illegal in Moscow to sell alcohol with a few exceptions.)
There is a medium size farmer style food market (3-4 minute walk) that offers a wider and possibly fresher selection of food than regular grocery stores.
There is an elite yoga school.
There is an MMA training center run by an actual MMA fighter (Mad Max). Both the Yoga and MMA center offer private lessons and are literally 30 seconds from the door.
About 7 minutes walk away, there is one of Moscow's better strip clubs (so I have been told). There is also a hipster-ish cafe offering great lunches at wonderful prices (around $5).
There are 6 different grocery stores in a 10 minute walk. 2 will offer you a unique Russian experience (drunks, bad quality, etc), 2 are an ok place with an ok selection and 1 is an upper market store with mostly imported European foodstuffs at premium prices and 1 is an eco-friendly health-conscious type store.
10 minute walk to the bus stop. Buses to the metro (in both directions) come every 30 seconds.
12 minute walk to a shopping mall with clothes, electronics and cafes (Coffee, McDonalds, Burger King, etc).
The Kremlin is a 15 minutes ride via Metro (subway), amazing nightlife at Kitai-Gorod is a 13 minute ride and more.
Metro station Polezhaevskaya is a 12 minute walk away.
The bus is a 10 minute walk away. Busses come every 30 seconds (in both directions). 1 metro station is 1 bus stop away (Polezhaevskaya) and 1 metro station is 2 stops away (Begovaya). The center of Moscow (Pushkinskaya) is 3 metro stops away (6 minute ride).
For nightlife, the easiest way to get around is taking a taxi. Since the location is almost the center of Moscow, everything is very cheap, and very fast. Expect no more than 3 minutes wait time for pick-up and a journey of around 10-15 minutes to almost every where in the center, with a cost of around 200-300 rubles ($3-5) one way.Get the full listing »
