The KITCHEN includes full-size fridge, glass top range with convection oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, programmable coffeemaker, Crockpot, cookware, dishware, glassware, and silverware. There is an exterior door to access the lower rear porch or bring in fresh air if you become overzealous while cooking.
The LAUNDRY room with full-size front-loading washing machine and dryer is accessible from the kitchen.
The DINING ROOM includes dining table (expands to comfortably seat 6), working desk with light, window bench, and exterior access to enjoy the lower rear porch.
The LIVING ROOM includes sofa, chair, ottoman, and decorative fireplace for quiet lounging and relaxation after a long day working or exploring the local area.
The HALF-BATH, coat closet, programmable thermostat, and centrally-monitored security alarm system rounds off all the offerings on the first floor.
Upstairs you'll find three carpeted BEDROOMS and two FULL BATHROOMS. Each bedroom has a bed, nightstand, bedside lamp, ceiling light & fan, a chest of drawers, and closet to store your belongings. The master bedroom at the front of the house has a queen bed and comes with an en suite full bathroom with antique clawfoot bathtub to add to its charm. The middle and rear bedrooms both offer access to the upper rear porch. Chairs suitable for outdoors are provided for your use. The middle bedroom has a full bed and the rear bedroom has a queen bed. There is a second full bathroom in the hallway, which is typically used by those in the middle and rear bedrooms.
In addition to bed linens, blankets, and pillows provided for use during your stay, this home also provides a good amount of natural lighting as well as a few cleaning supplies to get you started off on a good note.
REAR PORCHES - There is a rear porch on each of the floors. The lower rear porch is accessible from the dining room and kitchen. The upper rear porch is accessible from the middle and rear bedrooms. The porches are great places to do a quick check of the weather before starting your day or sit and relax when you want to get a little fresh air and unwind.
COURTYARD - There is a shared courtyard accessible by exiting one of the rear doors on the first floor and walking along the walkway behind the house. Five properties have access. The courtyard includes a seating area and two BBQ pits for your use.
PARKING - There's free on-street parking in addition to paid or restricted parking a block away. Most residents & guests park on the street with no problem.
HOUSE RULES -
Provide the full names of all guests over 18 yrs old to the host via a message prior to or at booking. This will help prevent your reservation from being cancelled.
Traveler and all guests over 18 years old must send host via the message system a copy of each person's valid legal government I.D. at booking to prevent your reservation from being cancelled.
Absolutely no smoking, vaping or use or production of any illegal drugs are allowed anywhere inside or outside the property. There is a $200 per day smoking fee for each partial or full day in the listing.
Be respectful of the house and its belongings. If you stain, damage or break something, inform the host so the next guest won't be penalized for your mistake.
Do not remove any items not belonging to you from the property.
Please limit the use of outdoor shoes to the hardwood or tile floors inside the home. Avoid rugs and carpets.
Use the black wash clothes for make-up removal.
Locals and anyone under 25 years of age must communicate with the host before booking.
Cannot be more than six (6) persons (maximum occupancy) in or on the property at any one time. If more guests sleep at a location than the number originally stated in the booking, these unregistered guests will be charged $25 per booked day per guest.
Quiet hours: 10PM - 8AM
There is no private parking, driveway, and the city does not allow street parking immediately in front of the property. Do not park illegally or on private property.
The property address cannot be used as a mailing address by guests.
A rental agreement will be used for stays 7 or more days. For stays less than a week, an agreement is at the discretion of the property owner.
There is a $50 late check-out fee, if late check-out is not authorized in writing by host. Any unauthorized guest who is still in the property after 12:30PM will be charged for an extra night.
Guest agrees to reimburse the host in full if guest does not follow any of the house rules or manual and this leads to the host having to refund or discount a future guest.
Use of the property for video shoots or commercial purposes must be requested prior to booking and approved in writing by the host.
**Booking a reservation states guest has read and agreed to all of the above House Rules.**
No Smoking: No smoking, vaping, candles, or incense is allowed inside or anywhere on the property outside.
Dishwasher: If you want to use the dishwasher, do not turn off the light switch on the wall immediately above it. Keep the light switch on the right in the up position. The door must be firmly shut for the dishwasher to start a cycle when the “start” button is pressed. If when the “start” button is pressed the green light next to “wash” blinks, the door is not firmly shut. Open the door and shut firmly. When the green light is solid and not blinking the wash cycle will begin.
Clothes Washer: Leave the detergent tray and loading door open to prevent mold
Clothes Dryer: Clean out lint filter after each use
Master Bathroom - you need to allow the sink water to run for a bit before the hot water is felt.
Temperature Sensors - you'll find small white circular devices in different parts of the house. These sense the air temperature in the room and feeds the data to the thermostat. These sensors do not invade privacy.
Thermostat - it is locked; however, you can still adjust the temperature for your comfort (between 60 and 71 degrees during COOLER months and minimum of 74 during WARMER months) by turning the silver exterior case to the left or right. If you need the thermostat set at a different temperature, please contact me using the platform messaging app.
Mail Delivery - Guests are not allowed to use the property address as their mailing address. This means United States Postal Service (USPS) delivery to the property is not permitted. Non-USPS package deliveries (e.g., FedEx, UPS) may be allowed if requested beforehand and approval is given in writing by Host.
CHECK OUT PROCESS
As a reminder, check out is at 11AM ET on the reservation's check-out date.
-- leave all used bath linens on tile floor; we'll take care of the bed linens
-- load dirty dishes into the dishwasher and run dishwasher; dishwasher detergent is under the sink
-- clear the fridge and cabinets of any food you brought with you
-- place all trash in the garbage can inside the kitchen; there's an extra bag under the sink if you need it
Upon departure - Immediately before leaving ensure all doors and windows are closed. Then press 3 on the security alarm pad inside the home. Exit out of the exterior front door. Close door firmly and press the lock icon to secure the door.Get the full listing »
