2 miles from Wollaston Beach which is the largest Boston Harbor beach with roughly 2.3 miles of shoreline, and features a continuous walkway, a seawall, free parking spaces, and restaurants.
Parking is available in a private driveway which can fit 2-3 vehicles. No street parking allowed.
Driving into downtown Boston is fast and easy. Driving times do vary with traffic. Examples of driving times to downtown locations:

Public transportation is even easier than driving downtown!
The North Quincy Train Station, which is on the Red Line, is located 2.6 miles away and is less than a 10 minute drive. An UberX from the house to the train station runs between $9-11 one-way. Train station parking is $5 flat rate. One-way train fare is $2.25. There is a bus stop located 0.3 miles from the house which goes to the train station. The bus comes every 30-45 minutes and costs $2.

Salem: 33 miles. 1 to 1.5 hours by car. 1 hour by public transportation (red line Downtown Crossing, orange line North Station, purple line to Salem). Salem is served by MBTA Bus 450 (Haymarket Station—Salem Depot), which leaves from Boston's Government Center parking garage next to Boston's Haymarket subway station (Green Line or Orange Line). Buses leave Haymarket every 30 minutes during rush hours, every hour during the day Monday through Saturday, every 90 minutes on Sunday. Under good traffic conditions, the bus trips take just over an hour and end at the Salem Depot (MBTA Commuter Rail station), about 10 minutes' walk from Salem Common and most Salem attractions.
Plymouth: 38 miles. 1 hour drive by car. Plymouth & Brockton (P&B) Street Railway Company runs 24 buses on weekdays, 4 buses on Saturday and Sunday, from Boston's South Station Bus Terminal to Plymouth. In normal traffic, the trip to Plymouth's P&B Bus Center takes 45 minutes from South Station.
