WARNING: DO NOT put paper in the toilet at all.
It will clog and the value of the arrangement of the deposit given at the beginning will be removed.
There are many warnings to remind you of this and we will advise you throughout your stay! There is a waste bin next to the toilet where you can put everything you need.
Hello fellow travel lovers!
This is the Atafonas house, located in one of the most premium and typical neighborhoods of Lisbon, the riverside of the city of Lisbon, in a very well managed property, completely renovated recently (without sacrificing traditional features), with incredible design and decoration details that, combined with comfort, will make you love your Lisbon experience even more!
This is a unique neighborhood, a very special place in Lisbon, as it is located on the riverside of the city. Here you will find the most spectacular views, while still in the center and close to activities and nightlife, it is also a calm and peaceful place for family or romantic trips.
I, personally, love these streets, it is being by the river, the tranquility and the good air that makes them so special.
Guests have access to the entire property, indiscriminately and without exception.
There is no space that they do not have access to, and are exclusive to guests who are in the house at that time, without any sharing.
The house is super bright, with a mix of 18th century real rustic and modernity. As it is located on a very high floor, the light is incredible, both at sunrise and sunset, which brings the fantastic views so characteristic of this property.
To get to this very high and very light floor, there are three flights of stairs that are quite steep and high, so if you have serious mobility problems, we do not recommend choosing this apartment as it is a little more difficult to get around. to the property.
Thought and designed according to our maxims of design and architecture (we are always guided by excellence and traditional finish and typical of the cities in which we find ourselves)
, maintaining the old Lisbon style so as not to lose the genesis of the essence of a typical Lisbon neighborhood, including a mezzanine, very particular to the reconstruction of Lisbon after the 1755 earthquake.
The house itself has been restored and remodeled and dates back to the 20th century. It has two bedrooms, one in the "loft" part, above the living room, with two single beds, and the other in the lower part of the house, with a queen-size bed, with premium linens for those looking for maximization of your sleeping comfort.
The bay window style bathes the room with a spectacular view and light (with the possibility of closing when going to sleep, of course).
It also has two toilets, one complete with a bathtub, the claw bathtub typical of the monarchic era of Louis XIV, and the other with a shower and toilet. This toilet has a particularity, you cannot put papers of any kind, it will clog immediately because the plumbing in the buildings is really very old and there is no possibility of being updated.
We kindly ask you not to put any kind of papers in the toilet. They have a large dustbin where they can put everything in the bathroom.
Any problems arising from this (directly) will be deducted from the deposit that the guest delivers on arrival, so please be careful. There are notices in the house to remember this, don't worry.
Well, let's get rid of the toilet and focus on the house, which is incredible:
You will have a very large kitchen, with all the requirements and utensils necessary for your stay.
In the living room there is a large sofa in the shape of a corridor, which runs throughout the room, which gives both sleep and sit and relax, with space for several people, so
comfortable as the bed.
Five people fit perfectly and comfortably throughout the house, although up to 6 people can join with an air mattress, if necessary, and for a few days, so as not to sacrifice comfort, of course.
The highlight of the house are the terraces:
in architectural style and Greek design, with the splendor of Mykonos in an incredible and vibrant city like Lisbon. The raw and bare finishes of the white walls together with the round windows fill the house with a truly quintessential feeling.
The large fireplace in the living room provides additional comfort with a cozy touch, perfect for the most cozy winter nights in Lisbon, for friends or romantic gatherings "by the fireplace".
The house has a washing machine, oven, microwave, stove and heaters, but it is very well insulated and due to its premium reconstruction, it will not feel too cold or too hot, at either end.
It has the basic kitchen items, olive oil, salt and spices.
It has towels and premium bedding included.
The rustic and the color come together a lot in this property, providing the guest with a modest but also fun aesthetic vision.
Refinement on arrival with a premium local Portuguese wine to make the most of your welcome.
A welcome gift from us to you.

Beforehand we send you all the necessary guides and tips, as well as a check-in guide with instructions and a special PDF guide made with our professional tips from the natives of Lisbon, on what to see, do and eat.
The house is close to three train stations (Santos, Cais do Sodré and Alcantara-Mar), which facilitate access to all of Lisbon, beaches, Belém and others, at a distance of 8 minutes, 18 minutes and 15 minutes, on foot , respectively.
It has the metro stations of Cais do Sodré and Terreiro do Paço, about 20 and 30 minutes on foot, respectively.
Close to the property, down Rua das Janelas Verdes and past the National Museum of Ancient Art (about 5 minutes on foot), there are bus stops such as 713, 714 and 727 that will take you to the main points, as well as other buses .
There are also trams 15E and 18E in Santos, further down (about 7 minutes on foot), the famous Lisbon TRAMs, which pass through the neighborhoods and scenarios typical of all of Lisbon.
By public transport it is possible to cross the whole of Lisbon and its surroundings, and they are reasonable, there are several from time to time and during the night as well. We recommend an interchange between public transport and Kaptens and Ubers (private taxi transport, ask for an app on your mobile phone, we can help with this, just ask), and bicycles that are available for rent throughout the city;
it is the best way to see Lisbon.
However, our house is really central (15 minutes walk from Bairro Alto, Baixa-Chiado and 8 minutes from Santos and Cais do Sodre and the entire riverside area).Get the full listing »
