Our Crystal Beach home is located on a 1/3 acre lot, which makes for a quiet, relaxing get away. The home has a spacious open concept kitchen, dining, and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities for preparing meals and all stainless steel appliances. The kitchen has a large island with seating for 4 and the dining table has seating for 8 to 10 for family gatherings. The large living room has a 65” TV with youtube TV, X-BOX, and a few DVD movies provided. The kitchen and living area open to a large wrap around deck with views of the Gulf. The beach is a short 500 foot walk with direct street access. A golf cart (significant cost per day to rent locally) is provided for long drives down the beach and exploring. The downstairs has an 8000 square foot, fenced back yard, built in picnic table, large BBQ/fire pit, shower, fish cleaning station, and garage with golf cart, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and some beach toys for your use. There is a spigot for washing your feet at the base of the stairs.
LIFT: There is also a lift, so you don’t have to carry groceries or suitcases up the stairs. The TXLA Cargo Lifts disclaimer states: This cargo lift is NOT for human/animal transport and is to be used for transporting cargo only, not exceeding 1000 pounds.
The master bedroom has a king bed with large windows and deck access, TV, and a large en-suite bathroom with double vanity and walk in shower. Both guest bedrooms have queen beds, however, one will be converted into a kids room with bunk beds. Both guest rooms have a TV and one has deck access. The guest bath has a full size bathtub and shower combo. Beds are made, linens and towels are provided, and each shower is equipped with dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner. Washer and dryer located off the kitchen.
The driveway has parking for several cars, but please don’t park on the grass, in the street or on the neighbor’s property.
Enjoy the local shopping and dining experience or make your way 13 minutes down State Highway 87 to the ferry terminal to Galveston Island. Galveston attractions include the Strand Historic District, day tours, museums, and various shopping and dining options.
This is a recently purchased second home for us, so we are in the process of improving the vacation experience. We are definitely open to suggestions on how to improve your stay in the future. However, rest assured that all home comforts and amenities are included.
BASIC RULES: Please read the following basic rules before booking. We want you to enjoy our home, but want to ensure you will treat it as well as you would treat your own home.
OCCUPANCY. We prefer to rent to SMALL rental parties - 6 guests total. Families are preferable, but responsible adults over 25 years of age are also welcome.
NO SMOKING of any kind, including vaping.
PETS: No Cats. Dogs are welcome with a nightly fee.
PARTIES: NO parties, large family gatherings, proms, et cetera. PARENTS - DO NOT rent on behalf of underage children. Doing any of the above will result in terminating the booking without refund, the deposit will be kept, and you will be asked to leave immediately.
EXTRA GUESTS: We are very strict on occupancy limits. Please fully disclose any EXTRA GUESTS at time of booking. Showing up at the rental with more guests than were booked or adding guest during the rental period is grounds for cancellation.
