Leave your car and your cares at the marina because Little Gasparilla is accessible only by water taxi! That means our beaches are uncrowded and tourists and traffic are just a mainland memory. If you are looking for a quiet tropical island to relax and unplug, Little Gasparilla is your dream vacation spot. Our "nightlife" consists of giant sea turtles laying their eggs -- our only bar is the sand bar where you can find sand dollars and shells!
Angler's Paradise is a fisherman's dream house and a great getaway for anyone looking for a beach retreat.
This two bedroom one bath home is cozy and rustic with all the charms of an old Florida beach boasts all the comforts of home with an updated kitchen, new TV and excellent views of the bay.
It has an open-air outdoor shower on the spacious and sunny back porch, with a large outdoor dining area, chaise lounge and gas grill. This porch is a perfect spot to enjoy the sun during the winter months when it might be a bit chilly elsewhere on the island! The house is shaded by tropical mango trees and is directly across the "path" from the island library which offers a large selection of paperbacks, magazines and VHS movies available for all island residents and guests on the honor system.
The master bedroom offers a king-size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a spacious utility room with a full-size washer and dryer on the main floor. Downstairs there is a relaxing hammock if you feel like a nap in the shade!
This home offers guests a free kayak or paddle board rental with a stay of at least one week. You use this certificate just like cash and the renter is still responsible for any additional rental fees, security deposit and any damage fees. The voucher cannot be redeemed for cash. You must present a hard copy of the voucher to redeem.
Just a few steps down Duval St. you will come to Little Gasparilla's beautiful beach, where shells and shark's teeth await you and the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico will beckon you. You can rent a kayak or stand up paddle board and have it delivered right to your dock.
But this home is all about proximity to the dock. It is literally just a few steps to the dock so you can walk to the dock in just a few minutes and be on the water (or fish off the dock) with a minimum of effort.

IINTERNET: There is no wired internet service on the island. There are a couple options for wifi. Most people just opt to use the mobile hotspots on their smartphones, especially if they have unlimited data or a large data plan. Cell service is excellent and that is the most convenient it seems to work a bit faster. We can provide instructions on hot spotting if you are not familiar. If you do not have a smartphone, we can provide a Verizon jetpack for a fee BUT YOU MUST REQUEST IT IN ADVANCE. We urge guests NOT to plan on using the jetpack for streaming music or videos, etc. It is more than adequate for checking emails, etc. You just need to let us know in advance so we can make sure we have a fully charged jetpack available for you. Just keep in mind that it is NOT the internet you are used to on the mainland. (It is especially helpful to remind kids and teenagers who are used to unlimited data!) We usually suggest that people download books and movies to their tablets or e-readers BEFORE coming to the island.
