Tranquil views of the Monterey Bay await guests who enter this charming two-story home in Pacific Grove, where from the master bedroom you can watch fishing boats and whales by day, and city lights at night.
The newly renovated 1,800-square-foot residence has vintage charm along with modern conveniences, including a spacious kitchen, hardwood floors on the ground level, and remodeled Restoration Hardware style bathrooms. It’s also just a few blocks walk to the beach, the Monterey Bay Recreation Trail, or to downtown for movies, restaurants and shopping.
Also within walking distance are Lover’s Point, Cannery Row, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It’s only 10 minutes by car to the boutiques and galleries of Carmel-by-the-Sea or to golfing and sightseeing in Pebble Beach®, and about 45 minutes to the natural glories of Big Sur.
The 3-bedroom, 2-bath pet-friendly home on a quiet, tree-lined street has coastal/nautical décor, a fully-appointed kitchen, a fenced backyard with comfortable outdoor seating, a gourmet gas grill, and ocean views from the upstairs master bedroom.
Upon your arrival, you will be greeted with complimentary cheese and wine or sparkling cider, wine tasting passes and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, as well as spa robes, and beach gear with everything you need for a day at the beach, including chairs, blankets, towels, umbrella and cooler.
The shingle-sided house with a rustic river rock chimney has been updated inside in many ways. Guests entering through the front door will find themselves in the living room, which has comfortable seating around a gas fireplace with a marble and wood surround. This cozy spot is perfect for playing games, reading or watching the 36-inch HDTV.
A dining area for six at a farmhouse-style table has views of the fenced yard, landscaped with flowering shrubs and accessible through a sliding glass door. Just outside is a patio seating area and a gourmet gas grill for afternoon barbecues.
The dining area is adjacent to the large kitchen, which has custom cabinetry, solid-surface countertops, a five-burner Creda gas cooktop, a Bosch dishwasher, a wall oven and a double sink with separate hot water spigot and a pull-out faucet. Plenty of storage space is available for stowing groceries and other items in a large pantry area.
At the back of the house is a laundry room with washer, dryer and deep sink, with access from the back patio. This is ideal for beachgoers who don’t want to track sand throughout the house. Beach items are also stored here.
A bedroom on the ground floor has a queen bed. A recently remodeled bathroom includes a vintage-look vanity, marble and subway tile, and hexagonal floor tiles, with a shower over a deep soaking tub.
The carpeted second floor has a sitting/office area with a comfy upholstered chair and ottoman and a table for computer work. French doors from the sitting area lead to a protected second-story balcony with bistro seating.
Across from this area is the master bedroom, which has a king bed looking out through large windows with beautiful views of the bay both day and night. The upstairs bathroom resembles the downstairs bath, with vintage-look vanity, and marble and subway tile and a tub-shower combo and a skylight. A nearby bedroom with a queen bed also has peeks of the bay through the trees.
Parking for two vehicles is available in the driveway.
