We live 3 blocks from the bustle of St Claude, on the lakeside across from the Bywater. The neighborhood is quiet and less dense. The clean, colorful, modern house features expansive living spaces, renovated bathrooms, and a large kitchen for cooking.
The Space:
*minimum 4 night stay during all Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest weekends, and other special events. Weekly rates not applicable during these events.*

This is a fantastic newly renovated home in the St Claude district of New Orleans, and we'd like to welcome you home!

Our house is 70 years old - a gorgeous, colorful 3-bedroom house with all modern amenities. This is brand-new construction, as the building was taken to the studs and rebuilt! We have one bedroom available with a magical all-natural latex queen bed (sleeps 2), one master with king bed (sleeps 2) and then a den with convertible couch (sleeps 1 comfortably, 2 cozy).

Bywater is a fantastically diverse and interesting neighborhood, with restaurants, galleries, shops and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in New Orleans. Nearby bus stops and bike lanes make this an ideal jump off point. Our neighborhood is still recovering, so you'll see a mix of housing stock - including some that are still vacant after the storm.

================================OUR SPACE

Both bathrooms are private, with the master having its own bathroom and the guest bedroom sharing with the den with convertible couch.

Hardwood floors throughout; modern kitchen with dishwasher and electric stove; washer/dryer; patio furniture to chill out on; WiFi; on-street parking easily available; new AC unit for those sweltering summer days and plenty of heat for the winter as needed.

We're located in the St. Claude district across from Bywater proper, which is a fantastic neighborhood with many restaurants, bars and live music venues within walking distance. St Claude is having a moment, with many new galleries and restaurants mixing with the classic dives.

Bike rentals are available nearby - best way to get around!

Please treat our home with respect and care that you would your own. We have put a lot of love into the space, and we hope you will do the same! Heavy partiers, like bachelor parties and the like, are not welcome. This is a quiet neighborhood and we expect that you'll respect that, and our lovely neighbors' desire to enjoy their homes!


5 minute walk to Bywater, 10 minute walk to the Marigny, 20 minute walk to Frenchmen, 25 minute walk to Bourbon, 35 minute walk to Warehouse District. All those distances are halved (at least) by bike, and driving is always an option - but parking in the Quarter is a nightmare. We have plenty of on-street parking by our house.

The #88 bus also stops nearby - so public transportation is also an option for those not interested in walking, biking or driving!

St. Claude/Bywater/Marigny has many fantastic restaurants, and so you don't have to go far for something delicious and very New Orleans.

================================PLEASE NOTE

No guests beyond those in the reservation; $50 lost key charge; free luggage storage upon request, although not always available. If we determine that there are outside guests in the space, we will cancel the reservation immediately and you'll be asked to leave. Please do not abuse this!

We give travelers 24 hours to accept any Special Offers, and then reserve the right to move on to the next requested reservation. Special event pricing and 4-night minimum stays apply: Mardi Gras, sporting events, Halloween, Festival Season, etc.

================================HOUSE MANUAL

We are extremely laid-back and amenable to a variety of personalities and people. However, please note the following:

1. RESPECT is our number one requirement. If you cannot be respectful to our space, us or yourself, please don't stay here.

2. DRINKING is a part of the New Orleans experience, but if you are planning on drinking until you are sick, please don't stay here.

3. DIVERSITY is a core value of ours. If you are not all-people-friendly (this includes LGBTs, blacks, Latinos, or any other demographic in the universe), please don't stay here.

4. GUESTS are not allowed. If you are looking for a place to bring that new friend home, please don't stay here.

5. AGAIN: only registered guests can be in our house. If we find a violation of this, we will kick you out without refund. Please refer to #1.

6. LOVE: We are absolutely smitten with our neighborhood, and we will do everything we can to make your visit a most memorable one! That's our LOVE Guarantee!

7. WIFI IS AVAILABLE for guest use. At this time, we do not have a guest computer or printer, so please plan on bringing your own computer and/or using your smartphone for your boarding passes! And please, no illegal downloading! We've been warned several times already, and we don't want to restrict usage.
Guest Access:
The house is open to guests. There are some personal items stored in closets; please do not disturb.
Interaction with Guests:
While we may not see you, we are available 24/7 if a need arises. We are accessible both directly and via our on-location concierge. We have also hired a professional concierge service for when we're not in town. The company name is White Spider Rental Concierge, and our house manager is Heather Rose. She will send her contact info to you once a booking has been made!
The Neighborhood:
(URL HIDDEN) is a historical neighborhood just downriver from the French Quarter. It's everything that makes New Orleans one of the most charming and altogether different places in the world: architecture, community, diversity, food, and drink.
Getting Around:
We generally have plenty of parking near our home, and the 88 bus line drops off/picks up nearby. The best way to get around New Orleans is with bikes, which can be rented nearby from either Gerken's on St. Claude (limited availability) or Bicycle Michael's on Frenchman.
Other Things to Note:
-- Please note the convertible sofa is roomy for one, and very cozy for two. We want our guests to understand this going in, so that expectations are on par with the experience!
-- We mention this under House Rules, but this is essential: there are to be no unregistered guests in the home. If you reserve for 2, then only those people may use the home. If you violate this rule, you risk being asked to leave immediately and without refund - so please respect the space. :D
