Driving up Boulder Canyon along Boulder Creek through the little mountain town of Nederland you will feel like you have entered the Swiss Alps, as you progress along Peak-to-Peak Highway south to Magnolia Dr to your cozy retreat off the pavement on 3.5 miles of well-maintained dirt road. You're welcome to share where I call home in the gateway to the Rocky Mountains Indian Peaks Wilderness, up at 8’640 altitude with attitude, close to the Continental Divide.
As you approach my house there is a small parking space for your vehicle at the bottom of the driveway as you enter. The solar lit path to the camper is behind the middle parking space that is reserved for house guests. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is provided.
Relish the fresh clean mountain air, and the clear star filled velvet night sky on your private deck while escaping the city heat in the cool mountain air. This is the perfect starting point for experiencing Colorado. Nederland is the gateway oasis to the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, and close to the internationally renowned Rocky Mountain National Park; in addition to the world-famous music venues of Red Rocks Amphitheater and Lyons Planet Bluegrass festivals only an hour away. The little town offers Music, Art, Unique Shops; and Restaurants. Area activities include fantastic hiking through abandoned town sites (ghost towns), and breathtaking vistas, lakes and trails for all fitness levels; premium fly-fishing; mountain biking, and much more. Come play in this extraordinary area or escape into the peaceful solitude where Nature and Spirit unite.
Wildlife sightings are numerous of Elk, Deer, Moose, Coyotes, Fox, Bears, Bobcats, Bunnies; Mountain Lions, Squirrels and Chipmunks. Bird sightings abound of Eagles, Hawks, Owls, Ravens, Crows, Magpies, Wild Turkeys; Blue jays, Sparrows, and Hummingbirds… So, please be mindful of the animals and their space. Don't leave food in your car and lock it with windows up.
