Housed in a beautiful 17th-century mansion are 6 graceful apartment-suites all featuring the traditional Maltese features, the imprint of our Maltese culture and tradition composing bright and airy apartments. All feature a simple but elegant decor highlighted with high ceilings and contemporary white finishes and most importantly served with lift, which, is not quite common for Valletta residences.
This stunning Borgo San Pawl is composed over 4 floors, comprising of 2 apartments set on each floor. The impressive, main entrance of this Borgo is the quintessential of Valletta mansions. It is an embrace of past and present in one glimpse. This is reflected also in the stunning spiral, wrought iron staircase that leads to each apartment, for those who opt out from using the lift.
This particular spacious duplex 2-bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor, of approximately 70sqm, and served with lift. The entrance leads to a very modern, contemporary holiday let accommodation, which also incorporates elements of the traditional Maltese style, with a typical open plan kitchen/living/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped which makes it ideal for cooking tasty home cooked meals. The living area comprises of a flat screen tv with cable channels and a comfortable 3-seater sofa, and also comes fully air-conditioned. The designers have specifically retained much of its original charm through the vintage 1930s tiles that embellish the main living space. The living area is illuminated by traditional Maltese high windows, which complement the high ceilings of the whole area.
The property comes also complete with a full family bathroom with shower cubicle on the first floor. There is also a double bedroom on the same floor, fully equipped with air-conditioning, and designed with a modern finish, combining traditional Maltese tiles with contemporary white furnishings. This bedroom also includes an ensuite half-bathroom complete with shower cubicle. The apartment flows up to the second floor, where one finds another bedroom with double bed, adorned with parquet flooring. The wrought iron bed completes the Maltese traditional style, while also oozing an aura of modernity through white furnishings. The bedroom comes complete with air-conditioning, as well as an ensuite half-bathroom with toilet and sink facilities. Wifi and tv are provided for free during any length of stay.
Parking is possible on the Streets and the neighbouring ones, but it is not free. Parking inside the Capital City comes at an extra rate charges per hours, maximum at 6euro a day.
Minimum booking is four nights, prices will be quoted pro-rata according to the season. Deposit of 40% is required on confirmation. Preferred deposit payment methods are by bank transfer or by Pay-Pal. While the remaining balance is to be settled on check in.
Alternatively, the reservation can be made via homeaway family site/s. Please do note that once this option is selected there will be a 3% booking fee added to the quote due to site processing fees.
A refundable breakage deposit of 300euro is to be paid on check in either to be settled by visa or cash. The security deposit will be refunded via credit card if paid as such after a maximum of 30 days. Or via bank transfer - if paid in cash - with bank charges incurred to the beneficiary bank account [should s/he not be in SEPA country] after a maximum of 15 days. Thus the beneficiary bank details will be required to refund the deposit.
Due to cleaning necessities the check-in time for the apartments is generally 2.00pm and the check-out is at 10.00am however if there are no arrivals on the same day the apartment can be kept for longer.
Also please note that the price being paid for the property includes basic utilities
- 150KWh- for 2 bedroom apartment
free per week with the apartment which is more than sufficient for a weekly stay. However if the inclusive amount of KWh will be exceed, an extra charged will apply at a rate of 0. 35c per KWh. Other than that there are no other hidden expenses or charges.
Also please note that when the monthly rate is selected, the price is NOT inclusive of any utilities. Those would be paid for as much as one consumes. Water is charged at a flat rate of 1.10c per day while electricity it is charged at 35c per kWh paid as much as consumed. The payment has to be settled on check in.
Cleaning of the property prior the arrival and after departure is included in the price. Any extra cleaning during accommodation will incur extra charges.
Please note that the rental price does not include the Environmental Contribution tax, introduced on June 2016 amounting to €0.50c per night up to a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay in the Maltese Islands. This applies for 18-year-old and older.Get the full listing »
