Belmont Manor is two blocks from the locally famous 2nd street, which is full of boutique shops, great restaurants, and fun bars. It is an easy walk to Naples Island, well known for walk-around canals and Gondola rides, as well as some of the area’s most protected family beaches. A typical day might include a sunrise run around the canals, fresh bread and breakfast, stocking up at one of the local farmer’s markets, swimming and paddle-boarding at the beach, naps and lunch on the porch, a bike ride along the beach path, shopping along second street, Happy Hour, and 5 star dinner – all without getting in your car! For the more adventurous, there is world-class kiteboarding, surfing, stand-up paddle-boarding, kayaking, swimming and road biking, all easily accessible. Downtown Long Beach, the Queen Mary, the Pike, the 4th Street Arts District, and Aquarium of the Pacific are an easy water-taxi or bus ride away as well. One great activity is the traditional beach bonfire – still allowed here!
Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Palos Verdes, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and Hollywood are very short drives and each feature a unique take on the SoCal lifestyle. All of the arts, culture, events, and nightlife of LA are available while staying at the actual beach! (Did you know that LA is not near the beach?) For the even more adventurous, Laguna Beach, Sand Diego, Mexico, Bear Mountain, Wine Country, Ojai, Palm Springs, and the Joshua Tree National Park are all within a picturesque and scenic 2 hour drive. Did we forget to mention Disney, Knott’s Berry Farms, SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo/Animal Park, and several waterparks close-by? During the right season, there are also plenty of University and Pro sporting events, outdoor movies on the beach and concerts galore – many are free!

The garage is stuffed with Bikes, Skateboards, Paddle-boards, Surfboards, Boogie boards, Lawn Chairs, Wagons, Helmets, Coolers, Beach Blankets/Towels/Toys and a special fridge for your beer! The kitchen knows how to make great food – Cuisinart, Vita-Mix, NESPRESSO, and drawers full of junk that will thrill the Chef in your family and baffle everyone else. Outside there is a brand new weber gas grill and the old trusty charcoal version for the purists.
