Here are some reviews from guests:
The place was perfect for my friends and me. An older property that had been updated. Comfy, welcoming, deck with gas grill, quiet, woodsy yet so close to Lenox. Steve and Fran could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We may come back next year.
Steve was terrific! Our experience was very positive. The location is quiet. It is a short drive to Lenox the walk would be a little far but doable. Steve provided all the amenities we would have wanted and even asked us before our arrival if there was something he could stock in the refrigerator. The house is very comfortable and easy to use. Steve was very accommodating as a host.
We had a lovely stay at La Rondine. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. Steve met us upon our arrival to answer any questions and to drop off some snacks and prosecco - what a wonderful welcome! Easy access to Tanglewood, The Mount and all of the other Berkshire highlights. Would absolutely stay here again.
My family had a wonderful weekend at "La Rondine" (as this house is apparently known). Everything was just as described, it's a charming home set well back in the woods. Steve and Fran stopped by soon after we arrived to give us a quick tour and make sure everything was all set. We were able to zip into Lenox center and over to Tanglewood in just a few minutes, which made the weekend very convenient.
The house I rented for 9 days is magnificent. The house is spotless. I'm only one person, but the house slept 8 people. I went to the Berkshires so I could go to the Tanglewood Contemporary Music Festival. The house is just minutes away from Tanglewood. The house is wonderfully decorated. The price is right, my house daily rate was lower than the top of the line hotel I would normally stay at.
Our experience at La Rondine was lovely. Steve made everything from check-in to check-out so easy. He communicated all the particulars beforehand, made contact once we were in Lenox to see if we needed anything, and again at the end to thank us for our visit. The home is lovely and the pictures online are accurate. It's very charming and comfortable, with a nice deck and a grill for outdoor cooking. All linens/towels are provided too. There were fresh flowers to greet us - always a nice touch. Though we didn't need it, there is air conditioning for hot summer days/nights. The location is great. We enjoyed several events at Tangelwood, we visited Mass MoCA and the Clark museums, and did some shopping in downtown Lenox. We had everything we needed for the perfect weekend get-a-way.
Steve and Fran's cottage is a great Berkshire retreat. It's close to town (need to drive but close) and in the woods. We have two kids (4 and 10) and it was comfortable, clean and well furnished. A rustic wood beamed cottage with no neighbors and plenty of room. Steve and Fran are helpful but not intrusive. There is a deck with a grille and 2 bedrooms plus a loft. We would certainly come back.Get the full listing »
