Welcome to The Landing Pad! A funky 1970's travel trailer. Great for a creative retreat and the perfect home-base after a long day of adventure in the National Park! We have dark night skies made for staring at the Milky Way Galaxy! Off roading across the street & King of Hammers nearby! You can see the Integratron from the trailer! Visit the Worlds Largest Boulder, Giant Rock in 15 mins! Be at Pappy & Harriet's in 20 mins! Perfect for a couple or a solo adventurer & small-mid sized good dog!
The Landing Pad is a 20 ft. vintage Fleetwood Terry Taurus trailer located directly across from Bighorn Mountain Wilderness. We are located off of a major paved road for easy access. The property is 1.25 acres and the trailer is on a gated portion of the property near the main house(about 35 feet). The trailer is hooked up to city water, propane stove and water heater, and the main house's 120V electric (powering the circle lights, refrigerator, AC, microwave, and wall outlets).
Inside The Landing Pad, you will find yourself surrounded by a funky array of colors. There is a full mini kitchen and bathroom(well stocked with snacks, water, and toiletries). Plenty of bedding and pillows. The main bed is a memory foam mattress. There are two other beds, the table and bench seats convert into a bed, and a bunk that is hidden above the main bed. Wake up early and drink Joshua Tree Coffee Company's coffee made from the french press while sitting at the table listening to local Z107.7 FM radio (Gary & Pat in the Morning!). Unwind at night with a glass of wine and stargazing. In the cabinets you will find an assortment of board games, art supplies, reading and writing material for a fun night in.
The backyard has an awesome COLD outdoor shower that is so refreshing in the summer!

Annual UFO conventions used to be held at Giant Rock (15 minutes away). We are located on a main paved road, with only one immediate neighbor. It is quiet and perfect for stargazing!
