As part of the oceanfront Honua Kai Resort (daily resort fees apply*) on the desirable west end of Maui, the golden sands of the beach will call your name every day, and your second-floor lanai has a great view of colorful sunsets and tropical landscaping. Duke's Beach House and Aina Gourmet Market are on-site and Whaler's Village shopping center is just down the beach. Even more historical sites, restaurants, and shops are in Lahaina, about five miles to the south.
The condo is sumptuously furnished to ensure absolute comfort as your retreat from your busy day as an explorer. The open floor plan accesses living, kitchen, and dining areas, great for socializing and relaxing while dinner cooks. Settle into the comfortable furniture with a good book or relax on the lanai to enjoy soft tradewinds and people-watch in the courtyard down below.
A full kitchen with stainless steel appliances makes it easy to cook delicious meals, especially with local ingredients to add flavors of the island. A dishwasher allows for easy cleanup. Sit inside at the breakfast bar with seats for three or at the dining table, or eat at the table on the lanai with room for everyone. As a luxury in paradise, dine on the lanai with a cocktail.
In your downtime, you might turn on the flatscreen cable TV to watch a DVD or plan your upcoming days with WiFi. Open up the sliding glass doors to let a breeze in the main room, or close it up and crank the A/C when you need a break from the sun.
Two bedrooms each feature a king-size bed, a flatscreen TV, and access to a full bathroom with dual sinks, a soaking tub, and stand-up shower. (If you prefer, the king bed in the guest bedroom can be converted into two twin beds with advance notice.) One bathroom is accessible both from the entryway and the guest bedroom, while the master bathroom has an en suite. A sofabed in the living area will sleep any remaining guests, and a private washer/dryer allows for laundry. In total, six will sleep here comfortably.
Be sure to head down to the four resort pools in the courtyard for a refreshing dip, or soak in the hot tubs when you need to relax your muscles. A fitness center allows you to keep up your exercise routine, and you might treat yourself to a massage at the in-house spa to melt away unwanted stress.
This condo is perfect for couples or a family! Start your mornings off with a round of golf at one of the beautiful courses at Ka'anapali Golf Course and then take a snorkeling trip on a Trilogy catamaran or treat yourselves to a romantic sunset dinner cruise with Pride of Maui. In the North Kaanapali Beach area, you'll be able to rent snorkeling equipment so you can explore the calm waters. If you want to explore a little further, rent a kayak and paddle along the shoreline to get a whole new perspective of Maui.
Of course, lounging on the golden sands and sunbathing is an excellent way to spend your time, and you might venture to another stretch of coastline like Hookipa to watch surfers catch big waves for entertainment. A memorable evening awaits when you sign up for the Old Lahaina Lu'au (known as the best Lu'au on the island), or stick around the resort for dinner at Duke's Beach House Restaurant.
