They are the symbolic beaches of San Teodoro, a renowned tourist center, particularly loved by young people for its summer nightlife, whose territory also boasts other famous coastal pearls: it is impossible not to visit also Cala Ginepro, bay perfumed by the Mediterranean bush, Coda Cavallo beach , which will open your eyes to the majesty of Tavolara and its protected marine area, Cala Ghjlgolu, which will surprise you with a rock shaped by wind and sea in the shape of a turtle, one of the most loved natural attractions, especially by children. And then there are the less famous and equally beautiful: Baia Salinedda, Cala d'Ambra, Cala Suaraccia, Li Corri di Li Becchi, Li Marini and Seghefusti. The spectacle of the coast is completed, behind the beaches, from the lagoon of San Teodoro, a resting place for pink flamingos during migratory periods and residence of the Italian knight, an ideal place for walking and birdwatching.
Known in Gallura as Santu Diàdoru, the village is inhabited by just under five thousand residents in winter, animated by tens of thousands of tourists in the summer. The center took life in the seventeenth century, in the immediate hinterland on the eastern slopes of the massif of Mount Nieddu, when shepherds and fishermen populated the beautiful portion of land, however, frequented since prehistoric times. The nuraghe of the Naracheddu village is the most important testimony. There was a town inhabited even in Roman times: the archaeological finds are documented in the Maritime Museum.Get the full listing »
