Located only 3 minutes' walk away from the beach of Praia a Mare, this ground floor apartment of 164 square feet was completely renovated and refurbished to modern standards in 2017. Fresh without being humid, quiet, private, convenient, comfortable and functional, it's close to everything you might need for your everyday life. It's at the same time quiet yet close to the lively center and the main pedestrian area, a pleasant tree-lined avenue where you can find several restaurants, pubs, pizzerias, and shops. The whole building belongs to my family and contains a mix of apartments for residents and tourists, so you will live like the locals! The apartment is easily accessible: there only 2 steps to get to the front door.
Guests will also have access to a small, shared service courtyard, where they will be able to hang out their laundry to dry and do some hand washing if they wish to do so, although included in the apartment is a private washing machine, located in the kitchen.
The area where the apartment is situated is particularly appreciated by guests because it's quiet and at the same time very handy and close to everything you need for a stress-free holiday that doesn't require the use of the car: bars where you can have breakfast o enjoy an "aperitivo", supermarket, butcher, fishmonger, bakeries, greengrocer, tobacconist, pharmacy and many others. Last but not least, it's near the famously wide, clean, and long beach of Praia a Mare, where several "lidi" (pay beach establishments) offer services for all tastes, and to the town center, where you can find several restaurants, bars, and shops of all kinds.
The apartment is within easy walking distance from the train station (Praja-Ajeta-Tortora) and the bus stop. Buses connect Praia a Mare with many touristic locations in the Cosenza province, like the Riviera dei Cedri towns. It's also possible to rent a car with Maggiore at a local car service. Bike rental is also available nearby. From Praia you can reach as a day trip several local attractions, like Ajeta, Tortora, San Nicola, Scalea, Maratea, Diamante, and some of the Pollino National Park towns, like Orsomarso, Laino Borgo, and Verbicaro, to name but a few.
I don't live permanently in Praia a Mare, but I am very fond of the town where I was born and raised, so I normally spend most of the summer months there and I will have the opportunity and pleasure to welcome you personally. But I also like travelling, so when I'm not there, you'll be welcomed by other members of my family who live in the same building, namely my niece Clarissa and my sister Patrizia, both well-experienced hosts themselves. As their English is a bit rusty, I will always be reachable on the phone. In any case, one of us will always be available for any questions and needs, and we will do anything we can to satisfy your requests.
Although we don't have a dedicated car park, it's possible to find free parking along the road where the building is or on one of the side streets, at a very short distance from the house gate.Get the full listing »
